It's certainly a problem that they don't have a PTS for the console versions. On the other hand, given the addition of a new PvE zone on a PTS, how many testers are going to be PvPing in Cyrodiil to see the impact of the PvE update there? That sort of thing really only becomes apparent when the update goes live.

Who knows? Maybe testers would've been in there and found it right away. You were dead on with your first sentence though.

It is entirely possible that this infinite loading screen bug would have only manifested on the live servers so a PTS for consoles might not have caught this bug.

It's Also entirely possible that it would've manifested on the PTS if it existed. I don't want to deal in unknowns. What is known is that a console PTS would help in reducing the number of bugs prior to an update.

If you don't think the game is worth playing, then don't play it. Suspending or canceling a subscription does nothing to reduce the number of active players online let along the number of accounts opened. Moreover, if you do think the game is worth playing then why not pay to play it and so give the developers the resources with which to improve it?

To be honest, I'm growing tired of the argument "These developers aren't spending the money I'm no longer giving them to improve the game I'm happy to play anyway so long as I can get away with it for free".

LOL what? The argument here is that they HAVE been spending money and they arent getting what they feel they are paying for.

1.) They have a right to do as they please with their money, not sure why you think you have any right to tell them what to do with their time or money. Who the hell died and made you boss?
2.) The only thing that speaks to companies is money. You obviously dont run a business or have been apart of any business in the services industry if you dont understand why customers deciding not to spend their money on something is an issue.

Finally. No one cares what youre growing tired of. Take that narcissistic nonsense elsewhere.

Me and my husband both play together mostly in cyodill, we canceled our ESO+ subscriptions and we're giving it one week to be fixed, if it ain't fixed after one week we're planning to switch to black desert online a new game we wanted to play for a while, hopefully that is actually playable and doesn't have game destroying bugs going unchecked.

Yeah I cannot wait till BDO release on xbox in jan.

I cancelled ESO+ back in may.. Sadly I just came back to these forums today for the first time in 3 months to see if ESO was worth coming back to "I have not logged into ESO since july".. From the looks of it things are still as bad as when I left..

Funny thing is I ran into NewblackSmurf over on the BDO forums so I guess even he has given up on ESO lol.

BDO is p2w garbage. It's flashy but about as deep a puddle. For all of ESO's faults, it doesn't even come close to the mountain of stink that is that game.

Only thing you pay for is cosmetics.. And yes the exp boost sometimes.. But you cn do the same thing here..

There is nothing you cannot get that you NEED and have to pay for in bdo.. Nothing.. Yes you might have to grind your butt off to obtain certain things, but NOTHING is hidden behind a paywall like the content in ESO has become.

BDOs pvp is also a crapfest, its completely biased against melee, the male classes are all weaker than the female classes, done so cuz they are pulling the same crap TERA is doing, making female classes more enticing so players would buy their skimpy costumes, their are alot of items in the cash shop, costumes included that would give you an edge over other players, one of which is the ability to purchase outright lands and housing areas without expending more of the ingame resource, allowing you to maximize how many you can get, and now that they got some new tax system in play, the more of these places you own, the more money you get on every period, thus allowing you to be able to buy more and more powerful equipment, and gamble with RNG for the absolute most powerful equipment allowing you to wreck the face of anyone who is using a inferior class and or gear to you.

It is exceedingly rare for a big Korean mmo to go without ANY P2W in some shape or form, the Publisher and Devs of BLESS btw, claim that the game they have been making isnt a KMMORPG, and will cater it to the west, but that is bollocks, if it comes from Korea, and it isnt making enough money, they will put in what they have to, to attract the whales.

And to be honest we live/game in a world of entitlement where everyone wants everything to be free and even. This system will not work. Of coarse there has to be some way for companies to make money. The only way around this is Subscription fees.. "I begged ZOS to keep it even on consoles" because I knew we would be where ESO is today without it. The only way to keep people from feeling ptw is for a flat fee that everyone pays..

All I am saying is that other than cosmetics "even those can be bought form other players" in bdo it is still a decent game..

I have been playing MMOs since the two first major MMOs .. Asherons Call and WOW beta.. Todays MMO player wants everything to be even and "fair" without a subscription fee.. But where does this leave the developers?

A lot of morons out lately. BDO is an asian MMO, Eso is not so its completely different, but thats so far from the point. People are going to play what they want. People are going to get upset when ignored and walked on.. I stopped playing eso about 4 months ago to play archeage again.. Archeage has its faults and im still playing but the thing is i like eso more. Its my favorite mmo. The difference i noticed between eso, archeage, bdo and every other mmo ive played is the customer support!!! ESO has the worst customer support and developers that just dont seem to care at all.

This issue is so stupid because from what ive seen the only post they have talked about this console load screen issue is on my post (that they moved to hide in the xbox tech support section). But wait theres more, this issue isnt just for console because ya the game lags real bad on console and has more issues than pc, but what about PCs issues? Pretty much all the top PC ESO youtubers ,and tons of people on this website, have complained about the performance in cyrodil (and in general) on PC and have gotten the same thing that us console players get... SILENCE! and it truly is scandalous.. I have never seen devs treat there customers so poorly. Customer support is awful, and the lag issue seems to have a rule of ignore all questions about lag 100% no matter what

This is the root problem of ESO. I would love to come on this website and praise the devs for the amazing things i love about the game... BUUT i cant anymore. Its too bad. The neglect and silence on the issues is shameful. Console gets it worse, but PC gets it as well. But heres why i really think console players are upset.. When an issue like this happens on PC the devs are updating all the time and talking to people. Hundreds of people will come to complain. When its on console it seems like they dont care and it gets burried in the xbox tech support section. When some big streamer comes on here to post an issue that he has, he gets a DM in less than an hour from the devs. I cant find any info on this right now besides gina saying on my post that " we are investigating it".. People pay good money for this game. Countless hours and dollars.

All we ask for is some damn updates. And again this is not a platform issue, there are differences, but the root of the issue is how zenimax treats everyone. Yes I love playing the game, yes zenimax has done some amazing things with the game, yes they deserve praise and credit, but with all of the issues (especially the lag) over the last year they need to speak to the community more and not act like console is the red headed step child of the game. And just to be clear, this is a huge issue on console right now.. Pretty much every single time you die or travel in pvp you have to reset your xbox.. And also outside of pvp its happening randomly as well.. Ive heard even repairing walls gets it sometimes.. This is happening to TWO out of THREE platforms and silence for 3 days??? No.. Not right, obv people are going to be very upset especially considering the money we pay.. I dont know if dropping ESO plus is the right call or not, but i know that zos should try and reach out a bit more..

It is entirely possible that this infinite loading screen bug would have only manifested on the live servers so a PTS for consoles might not have caught this bug.

We on pc have a pts, and trust me, it doesn't help with bugs lolol you can report them until your fingers bleed from typing, and they won't get fixed.

Given the tiny number of pvp enthusiasts I dont see them even feeling the difference.

Also, those who want to switch to BDO better get their credit cards ready. Korean games are designed to rob you blind, BDO is no exception to that rule.

And nerfs! Don't forget nerfs! ;)

Pls ZOS adjust (=nerf) the game only on consoles, when you want to balance it, and let us PvEers play on PC our unnerfed version. Thanks. :D

To those people saying to "Get your credit cards out" and "BDO is PTW only"

My friend and his wife have played BDO from release and they are in the top 10 PVP. BDO can be played and you can compete with the top % of the population without spending a dime. YES you will have to put forth effort and grind, but it is all doable.

Look I know BDO isn't perfect, but ESO end game has died.. "What little there was to begin with. Heck even Neverwinter has better/more/harder/ more rewarding end game than ESO right now..

I was honestly hoping eso would be the mmo to last me for years to come, but the beginning of the end was this stupid CP system.. It was the death bell for ESO.

You add in the fact that the very small amount if end game content eso has to offer and then throw in the fact that most of it is bugged so bad it cannot be ran you have a recipe for failure..

Anything useful that players are wanting added into the game all fall under the category of "Yer ruinin my 'mersion!" Sallington

one of the first things they brought up today in livestream was loading screens and that they are working on solutions/testing out various scenarios.

Maybe they should have tested it before they release the patch not after

We on pc have a pts, and trust me, it doesn't help with bugs lolol you can report them until your fingers bleed from typing, and they won't get fixed.

From what I can tell on here, PC has less issues than console so it must help a little bit.
