Ha ha ha. No good sorc wears 5 heavy.. get the hell outta here with that. That is just so egotistical. I wear 5-7 HA on my all my mag and stam sorcs, use Empowered/Hardened Ward, don't stack shield, and it does great on any contents. DPS and resource management are just fine. I hate LA. It does not offer good survivability, especially, when soloing.
There is so much bad/wrong in this post, I don't even know where to start.
Then don't.. move on, nothing to see here. Ha ha. Nothing wrong or bad about my post/comment. Play your game how you want to. Play with LA, MA, or HA.. whatever.
Playing how you want doesn't mean its effective.
I'm sure we could debate this day, but we really don't need or have to. It is just a video game. There are actually other sorcs rolling around with HA on.. not just I. I get through dungeons, world bosses, delves, and any other ESO contents just fine with the HA sorc (even soloing) and, especially, rarely wiping. Heck, there are plenty of traditional sorcs with LA wiping around me at world boss pits and dolmens. Not saying they are not effective from the wiping, but with the traditional LA sorcs (unless you're shield stacking or have a healer spamming heal for you), the LA doesn't offer much protection against incoming damages; particularly when a boss is pulling 9 to 15k damages per pop. I even PvPed with my HA sorc, and it was fine. Same crap for PvP.. kill others and get killed all over again; doesn't matter what armor or set you have on.
I keep hounding on the fact that this is just a video game, and it's just for entertainment. This is not a job. I am definitely not a professional gamer. We're not getting paid by Zen or Bethesda to get the faster time completion or highest dps, or be whatever self-proclaimed world first at what, or to be on the top spots of the leaderboards. If one is getting through and completing any contents in ESO with any build or set, then that is just effective. I roll with anybody, any level, with any build, armor or set they have on.. I don't care. We get through the group content just fine. As long as everybody is fighting and contributing, then it is effective.
Sorry, ElderScrollsFan137, we're seemingly deviating a bit from the relevant of your thread, but this hard-headed dude just have to defend his stance with a HA sorc over other hard-headed dudes who view a sorc is only effective with LA. Hogwash!0 -

You've never seen a tanky sorc stack shields and use heavy attacks to restore magicka?
I've seen shield stacking, but not any sorc doing it in heavy. Certainly not any good sorcs. Shields and heavy armor don't synergize well at all.
I am not arguing that it's a bis build. You won't hurt to many players with it. But if you want to be a near unkillable annoying jerk, it works great.
No it doesn't.
