✭✭✭✭✭I use 100% bonus XP during events to grind characters up. Currently I have one more character to grind
The mentality is simple: you are at the point where you run dungeons/trials/PvP and want a new experience by using a new character/class. You don’t care really about the rest of it. Your goal is to hit Lvl 50 asap so you can run content.
I’d recommend the same.
If you are only trying to level up quickly then wait until an event to do it. 100% XP + purple-quality Training gear + 50% or 100% XP potion = perfect for grinding
You can ignore everything else.

I have so many cap level toons I can't tell you how many off the top of my head. I don't do any of the quest lines unless I need skill points or need to complete silver for the motif (crafters).
ZoS has done a great job of keeping competitiveness disconnected from the quest lines if you completed most of them on one toon per account.0 -

Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis0 -

There seems to be persistent issues with characters becoming "stuck" in Coldharbor. You aren't the first person I've seen that happen to.0 -

Unfortunately, the fix seems to be getting the Devs attention long enough for them to fix the character.

✭✭✭✭I looked at that thread and it seems to be talking about problems leaving Cold Harbor at the "end" of that quest.
I am still mucking about and leveling her in the area at the bottom of the stairs.
Now I can't even login to the character at all.
Oh, and now to get back on topic.
I can't think of many things in the game that I've done with 10 (or more) characters. .... a few...Kenarthi's Roost comes to mind (for some reason I really like that quest/starter island). Hang about in Rawl'ka (and I'm probably misspelling that).
I haven't even finished any questlines other than DC and that was a looong time ago and I don't really recall it well. Most of my other characters are on zones ... about 2-4 of their starting zones.
