I think a lot of people are missing my point. I absolutely love this game and I will never stop playing. As a pve player I just want more to do. Logging on everyday and doing the same dungeons and same daily quests for not enough of a reward for someone who has been playing since first beta and has almost everything this content gives. I want to see random events, in game mounts, a better housing system, crafting skill increase, just something to work for instead of gearing up 16 characters.

Hate to tell you, but the things you listed.. ESPECIALLY housing...you are not going to find in WoW.

They do have in game mounts, but that's it.

All you are going to find in WoW is gearing up your 18 characters, since they increased character slots by 6. Once the new questing is done, you run the same dungeons/raids over and over, once you hit the crafting cap, there's no reason to craft anymore. At least ESO has crafting writs and housing rewards to work for. Random events in WoW. No..everything in WoW is scripted and on a schedule. WoWHead usually has it's events scheduled on thier front page. There's no housing in WoW and there probably never will be...the devs think the garrison was housing! They are clueless when it come to housing. WoW is a gear treadmill...that's all you do is chase gear. The only thing you listed is in game mounts.
I'm not hating on you going back to WoW. Personal preference is personal. I'm just saying, once those 10 levels are over, and you reach level cap, you will be running the same dungeons over and over waiting for raids. Once raids are out you'll be doing that over and over. It's a 13 year old game. Outside of the new expansion, there's really not much to do. Let's be real, you have 10 levels of new questing storyline then it's back to the same stuff you say about ESO.
But I hope you enjoy your time there. Truly.

the disapointing thing about blizzcon for me, no new D3 announcments or D4 for that matter, we want D4 blizzard.

The Place by Tony Walsh Please Read
This is the place in the North West of England

It’s ace, it’s the best and the songs that we sing

From the stands, from our bands set the whole planet shaking

Our inventions are legends! There’s nowt we can’t make and

So we make brilliant music. We make brilliant bands

We make goals that make souls leap from seats in the stands

And we make things from steel and we make things from cotton

And we make people laugh, take the mick summat rotten

And we make you at home and we make you feel welcome

And we make summat happen, we can’t seem to help it

And if you’re looking for history then yes, we’ve a wealth

But the Manchester way is to make it yourself

And make us a record, a new number one

And make us a brew while you’re up, love. Go on!

And make us feel proud that you’re winning the league

And make us sing louder and make us believe it

that this is the place that has helped shape the world

And that this the place where a Manchester girl

Name of Emmeline Pankhurst from the streets of Moss Side

Led a Suffragette City with sisterhood pride

And this is the place with appliance of science

We’re on it, atomic, we strut with defiance

In the face of a challenge we always stand tall

Mancunians in union delivered it all

Such as housing and libraries, and health, education

And unions and co-ops, the first railway station

So we’re sorry! Bear with us! We invented commuters!

But we hope you forgive us – we invented computers!

And this is the place Henry Royce strolled with Rolls

And we’ve rocked and we’ve rolled with our own Northern Soul

And so this is the place to do business, then dance

Where go-getters and goal setters know they’ve a chance

And this is the place where we first played as kids

And me Mam lived and died here, she loved it she did

And this is the place where our folks came to work

Where they struggled in puddles, they hurt in the dirt

And they built us a city. They built us these towns

And they coughed on the cobbles to the deafening sound

Of the steaming machines and the screaming of slaves

They were scheming for greatness, they dreamed to their graves

And they left us a spirit, they left us a vibe

The Mancunian Way to survive and to thrive

And to work and to build, to connect and create and

Greater Manchester’s greatness is keeping it great

And so this is the place now we’ve kids of our own

Some are born here, some drawn here but we all call it home

And they’ve covered the cobbles, but they’ll never defeat

All the dreamers and schemers who still teem through these streets

Because this is a place that has been through some hard times

Oppressions, recessions, depressions and dark times

But we keep fighting back with Greater Manchester spirit

Northern grit, northern wit in Greater Manchester’s lyrics

And there’s hard times again in these streets of our city

But we won’t take defeat and we don’t want your pity

Because this a place where we stand strong together

With a smile on our face, Mancunians Forever

And we’ve got this* as the place where a team with a dream (*Forever Manchester)

Can get funding and something to help with their scheme

Because this is the place that understands your grand plans

We don’t do No Can Do, we just stress Yes We Can!

Forever Manchester’s a charity for people round ‘ere

You can fundraise, donate. You can be a volunteer

You can live local, give local. We can honestly say

We do charity differently, that Mancunian Way

And we fund local kids, and we fund local teams

We support local dreamers to work for their dreams

We support local groups and the great work they do

So can you …help us help… local people like you?

Because this is the place in our hearts, in our homes

Because this is the place that’s a part of our bones

‘Cos Greater Manchester gives us such strength from the fact

That this is the place. We should give something back.

Always remember. Never forget. Forever Manchester.

You are overvaluing WoW and forget that despite the popularity of WoW, ZOS still produced ESO and it's been doing just fine and the so-called "massive announcement" by Blizzard will not change any of that. Less than 1/10% of the world's population even play MMOs and there is more than enough market space for multiple successful MMOs.

Wavering between which MMO a person may play and oddly needing to express that is more of an issue with that person's poor decision making process and character development than it is the game developer anyway.

If you are angry about anything in this game you are only punishing yourself.

I wish zos would add more things into the game. I never liked to pve and loved pvp. I cant play in the heavily populated campaigns because its too laggy for me to enjoy. So I tried to have fun in the less populated ones but its not always easy to find any action and I get bored.

I never thought I'd do this in a million years but I had left ESO for awhile now. I log in to check the crown store but then promptly sign off 2 minutes later. This used to be my favorite game.

Yes that is one of the nice things about ESO fewer dungeons but they are all relevant, they also have an nice difficultly curve, solved now then you don't get 3 x lvl10 in nWGT then you want to farm it or do an random normal to relax.

I played WoW from the first week of TBC until about a month after Legion came out (9 1/2 yrs or so). Everything is rush to level cap and zerg fest, damage meters, and toxic community trolling chat channels. Oh, if you don't want to rush to level cap just buy a character at/or near the level cap.

No...... Thank you! I even bought a new gaming computer for the Legion release and was so disappointed with the direction of the game. Never again.

to be honest? as much as I enjoy Blizzard cinematics, ESO cinematics are bloody brilliant. I love that first 3 of them essentially combine into a single badass movie, I love love LOVE morrowind cinematic. if not for the fact that bloody things cost a fortune, and I would rather ZOS spends that money on actual game development? I would beg for more of those. watching Naryu smirk still makes me grin and cackle with glee.

Blizzard is good at what they do. I will never deny that. and i would not trash WoW either, its just... most of the thing OP mentioned as detrimental in ESO, are exactly what WoW is doing, including with their expac. and half the stuff OP listed as enjoying - is not in WoW at all. i WOULD love more earnable in game mounts though in ESO. can't disagree with that. I still get why most of the fluff goes into crown store - that pesky pesky OPTIONAL subscription. I'm ok with it though.

It has remained constructive enough for ZOS to keep it open. Certainly, they are interested in how other people apply ideas from different games to ESO, or what ideas from other games people don't want to see. If this thread was only about WoW, this thread would have been closed. Right?

Many play ESO with the same mentality. Get to the end, bypass whatever it takes to expedite this, why doesn't ZOS just sell me the character I need?

Personally, I think it was a mistake for Blizzard to do the Level Boost, but it certainly is popular. I am sure that ESO has this in the plan and it is just a matter of the date they picked. I dread that date.

With the MASSIVE announcement from Blizzcon this weekend, the next ESO chapter needs to be enormous if they want to maintain any kind of a player base. I'm getting tired of this 'new content' that's always the same thing; new zone, motifs, quests, dungeons, maybe a trial, etc. They need to add some content that lasts more than a couple weeks. I am definitely going back to WoW, hope to return to ESO if they ever give me a reason to

Ive played wow since midway through Vanilla.. " 'new content' that's always the same thing" Is WoW in a nutshell. Its why I go back to play almost every new patch. I enjoy what is put out. But I mean, lets be 100% honest. Neither us players nor ZoS car about your singular whine thread. Despite WoW's powerhouse numbers over the last decade+, many other games have kept healthy and happy playerbases that enjoy what that game has to offer. WoW is not going to take many people from ESO. Completely different playstyles and, in most cases, completely different people.

WoW is just too simplistic for me. I love the more complicated rotations/set up that we have in ESO, even if the mechanics behind weaving are a bit silly.

ESO does a fantastic job competing with WoW honestly, especially when considering the difference in budgets that would both have.

EDIT: World of Warcraft has been bleeding players for years. Blizzard has no idea how to fix this. Obviously, releasing zones and expansions is not the answer. A retro server is also not the answer, but it does highlight how lost I think they are.

in all my games, nothing felt like more of an achievement than getting aquatic form for my night elf druid in vanilla wow. That was an epic quest running through all those higher lvl zones all the way to south of stormwind, whatever it was called. As much as i love ESO, nothing has yet compared to that.

Lol. Your joking right? It always has been and always will be the most popular mmorpg. No hate to ESO, I love the game. Just saying they need to step it up

Glad its popular for the people who like it. I never had the interest to try it. Still have no interest in it at all, even with the "play free until X level" whatevers they were offering last time. Not sure how many expansions I'd have to pay for at this point to play, and don't really care. There is nothing in the game that catches my interest at all. Honestly; I don't hear/read about how much fun it is, simply about how long it takes to grind for the best gear/high level so you can do more grinding to get the best gear and higher level [as fast as possible].

The only reason I considered playing ESO was due to playing single player Elder Scrolls; until the information that you didn't have to pvp, and could play solo content came out, I wasn't that interested in ESO either. If I lose interest and enjoyment in playing ESO, I'll go back to single player games. I don't see getting involved in any other mmos.
