Kind of a dumb question. I see many videos where a magblade uses DW. In that scenario, since you are not using any DW abilities, you don't need to spend any points into DW ?

I'd expect that you'd still put points in the passive that gives you extra damage from double swords or extra crit from daggers, etc.

Crit is weapon crit. You only want swords and just the last 2 passive points in DW

Thank you. so use double swords and put two points into Twin Blade and Blunt for the .. " Each Sword increases your damage done by 2.5%"

I currently run this setup on my magblade, I use DW swords with skill points in the last DW passive. It's great fun.
Bosmer Magicka Templar - Dest/Resto Staff [ex Stamina Templar - Bow/DW]
Dunmer Magicka DK - Dest/Resto staff
Breton Magicka NB - [Dest/DW PvE] [Dest/Resto PvP]
Bosmer Stamina Warden - Bow/2H
