Please, go and read up on the laws of your country. Oftentimes in countries either competitions that require no skill are banned, or prizes over a certain combined amount of money are banned, or they have aditional rules (such as having a judge from THAT country present when the winners are being decided, or the absolute need to use very specific software to decide the winners).

And yeah, well done on the necro.

In a bizarre twist of fate, legal restrictions on international gambling/sweepstakes/etc. have not changed since the last contest! But I'm sure we will once again get a nice run of comments about how ZOS should essentially ignore international law in the interest of fairness.
Surely you agree that it would be fair to ignore international law!

    :p

Only if we ignore them all!

As any law school grad will tell you, international law isn't real law! (Well, except for those that went off to work in foreign affairs/relations).

It's an issue of your states and country's laws that make you ineligible. Most times it has to deal with large prize packages need to be bonded when they are over a certain amount.

That being said though, @ZOS_GinaBruno or @ZOS_JessicaFolsom I thought there were supposed to be more little contests that were available for more of us to enter. What happened with that?

that is not true, I can participate in any contest on FB, without probs. I even won already prizes from across the globus. But ESo won´t let me partake here? Weird is all I say!

and then laws don´t are to be taken serious? A prize win is a win, even if it is a crate with hunbug.

    Not every company is FB.

these contests are either illegal (the contest starter does not know about legality issues with some countries), they applied for every single permit required, are skill based competitions (even let's say "submit a picture" competition is considered a skill based competition), or are too small for it to matter (Sometimes I give away games to my 2000 subscribers. However police won't chase me down because I'm a tiny minuscule person and not an entire company).

amazing how this xenophobic stupidity is always actual.

another event with prizes and most countries with people supporting this game are left out!

and once again due to a bunch of lies. very funny :\

so... now the laws from my country allows me to pay a lot of money to zenimax every years but doesn't allow zenimax to let me "Complete a random dungeon using the Dungeon Finder and earn bonus rewards: mounts, costumes, and more."

ok! go lie to someone else!

    A company that organizes sweepstakes/events: https://www.promosfera.com/en/contest-portugal.html

Looks like it might not be as simple as "add country X to the list and go for it".

However a crate with humbug isn't "real stuff". Part of the major prize is "•A trip to PAX East 2018 for you and a friend – we cover your flight and lodging!" that implies real world money/services, and not in-game stuff. That could be the difference.

This has less to do with ZOS and more to do with your country and your laws. Complaining to ZOS isn't going to magicly change the laws of your county. If you don't like it, get a hold of the appropriate government official of your country, but I highly doubt they're going to change anything simply because you can't participate in a contest for a video game.
