You P2W whiners need to stop! Paid expansions and DLC are NOT P2W!

People really need to learn the definition of P2W before spewing this nonsense! EVERY MMO has paid expansions/DLC, they need to make money somehow so stop being cheap! Without money, they can't continue and the game would then cease to exist. No MMO has released expansions or DLC that would drop worse equipment than the base game, that's just absurd and would make it all pointless. EVERY MMO when releasing a new class (or playable race) has done so when releasing a new expansion/DLC which always requires it to be paid so I don't understand why this game everyone called Morrowind and the Warden P2W.

THIS IS STANDARD PRACTICE IN EVERY MMO WHEN A NEW EXPANSION/DLC AND RACE/CLASS IS INTRODUCED AND IS NOT P2W! GET OVER IT OR QUIT!

You neither lmao, the only thing you got right was the ability to buy maesltrom weapons. The other two are more like pay to progress. Even then.. maelstrom weapons are not even that good anymore since the nerf, stam nb's have no business using a 2h maelstrom weapon for pvp anymore since we don't use crit rush and still wouldn't since the enchant is very pathetic and im sure other classes would't also. The reason those weapons were used is because of the weapon damage.... Gotta love how zos just destroys their game.

Where are those OP crafted sets? I've been to all the crafting stations in CWC, none look as good as Shacklebreaker, Hundings, Julianos, Seducer or even Morkuldin. Not to mention dropped sets like Seventh Legion, Spinners/Spriggan, Ravager, Lich and a ton more.

As for Asylum weapons, only the 2H and perfected Flame Staff are actually any good. If I had the choice I'd probably still pick a Maelstrom 2H.

What dou expect?! Them never to add anything to the game because people are too cheap to buy a SINGLE expansion? All the rest are available through a measily 12 dollars, or euro a month.

The main problem is getting the BEST GEAR ON THE GAME should require AN EFFORT. Which is not the case here, you can play with your feet and still gets an op weapon, meanwhile the ppl who really deserve to be rewarded receives a vMA weapon that is pretty crappy with the nerf.

You can get THE MOST OP WEAPONS IN GAME IN 10 MINUTES. Meanwhile the true hardcore players get nothing but nerfs. Period.

You can try to defend the AS weapons as much as you can but that doesn't change the fact that this weapons are OP

This set is bind-on-pickup

after the last "expansions " i stopped my eso+ (what did you expect zos?)

so now my vma weapon nerfed and i'm forced to get me Asylum weapon if i buy DLC or eso+

The only remotely win thing is 2h. Everything else has equal or better replacements. You also lose a set running these.

Master 2h is pretty stronk too.

In pvp 2 hander and maybe perfect staff can be usefull. Byt after buff vDSA two handerder is also super strong same with dw and bow.

In the first place, if you see the thread name it says "PvP" not PvE, so yeah, basically this weapon are OP on PvP, I don't care about PvE since it is made for casul player, as this dlc has proved.

In the second place, vDSA and vMA are a rewarding experience, balanced and hard enough, if you want to obtain one of the best weapon ingame you have to be worth it. However, vSA weapon can be obtained in 10 minutes and they are quite OP in PvP so yeah, basically this is a pay 2 win since you just need to spend 10 bucks in a sub and get as many weapon as you want, no effort needed.

It would be ok if they were harder to obtain but that's not the case, just pay 10 bucks and be op!

@Metemsycosis Well in that case game has allways been p2w. It's buy to play so you need to buy the game to play it. Thats p2w by your logic. But thats not how it is. In any mmo you need to keep up with the latest content to stay at top. Try playing wow with only vanilla installed.

.....but he makes a good point over the review of other DLCs and their difficulty to get the good new stuff. I'm part swayed.

I haven't investigated the new weapons enough tho to see if they make anyone OP for PvP and of that I'm doubtful.

Imperfect staffs are not that good, and most of the people (me included) will not be able to get perfect ones. Only good imperfect is twohander. Which i don't care for since i play magicka only.

Aren't all games pay to win ... I mean if you don't pay to play it how can you win at it ?

Granted this dlc offers some ways in which those who buy it have an advantage over those who don't , but ultimately what it does is create a new line of trade giving everyone the same opportunity to have those advantages while bolstering a currently dying economy.

No. I see a difference between "all ESOers must pay to play" vs "some ESOers can pay to win." this latter statement can only be true if paying for new dlc yields absolutely meta/bis gear.

As to your second point. Idk anything about wow, except it's irrelevant here. If i am playing hopscotch and then you start doing what i am doing, how is what you're doing not hopscotch?

Those Asylum weapons are sooo good in PvP specially those emmm... famous vMA weapons that are a must have for high level PvP... for example... maybe a twohander, but damage is so low, that it is not serious to talk about... Damn, so many examples, can’t even pick one.

I can agree that Master weapons are good for PvP, but c’mon man, get real.

Trait change is cool and simplifies grind, but does not provide any real advantage in PvP. Hell, Necro that I rock on my magsorc has well-fitted and sturdy purple items...

No idea what you are trying to point out, thus, I ask thee to elaborate on the subject.

Anyone here ever try to farm for a sharpened scathing mage inferno staff? Anyone ever get one?
I've spent almost 1 million gold buying key fragments to open the chests. I've farmed the dungeon ICP thousands of times. I've even talked to many others that have gone through this torture.

Everyone, including myself, has only ever obtained a defending inferno scathing mage staff.
Now that I have transmuted it from defending to sharpened, take your New AS Staff & come at me bruh, I'll stomp you in PVP.
The new staff is good but it's not THAT good.
