Please disable interactive collectibles near dolmens

I've been in three dolmen-grinding groups now in the past couple of weeks, and all three have had one thing in common: people using mementos to grief other players, or people with clickable assistants interfering with other players' ability to function freely at the dolmen.

I've seen someone using the cake memento to harass people at the chest, laying it down at the chest spawn point halfway through the battle at every single dolmen so that when people tried to click on the chest it was very difficult to target it because of the cake sitting there being clickable for a large area around it.

In two other groups, we had to work around merchants and bankers. Someone with an assistant following them around makes it difficult in their immediate vicinity to loot bodies, to click on pinions and to click on the chest. Again, the clickable zone around the assistant is considerable and it is hard to find the right position and angle to use to target what you're actually trying to target. In the case of competitive objects like anchor pins, it gives other players a distinct disadvantage (I am not sure it was deliberate but I can see how it might be used deliberately).

As there are zones where mounts can't be summoned and I know mementos are disabled entirely in Cyrodiil, I think it is possible and a good idea for ZOS to disable clickable collectibles in the area directly around and on a dolmen to prevent them from being a griefing tool or just generally an obstacle to players.

This just confirms that dolmen grinders are a rough crowd.

Honestly I dont understand the attraction, but for the record the OP is probably right, and we shouldnt take all year implementing a common sense griefing preventative.

Actually it was more just people irritably swarming around not clicking until the damn thing went away and repeatedly asking the jerk to quit doing that. Honestly the requests were nicer than they needed to be for waaaaay too long.

It's not so much an attraction as extreme impatience making it the lesser evil, on my part! I really wanted my high-level Fighter's Guild skills to use sooner than they would come through random landscape encounters. But the dolmen grind is probably as awful as you think, I hope not to have to do it again any time soon. And the griefers just made it that much more exhausting and unfun. >_<

The only attraction that takes me there is to level a character. I've got it down to about 6.5 hours from level 3 to 50.

    Free cake for all.
It only work for players you are grouped with.
This one use the cake in dungeons if we have to wait before boss :)

You cannot interact with other players assistants unless they are in your group, so that should be a non-issue. As for the cake thing, just aim a little better. If it says to eat cake, don't click it.

Still, seeing everyone standing in a huddle eating cake must be quite amusing, not something i would go out of my way to set up, though.

The real measure of endgame PVE is not your HM clears, or your group DPS, but the amount of cakes you can put on the final chest in Maw.

These items are only intractable within the same group. Rather than disabling them in dolmens (or in front of doors in trials) it should list the player who "owns" the collectible. That way, the Crown knows who to tell to put their banker or merchant away before starting, and who to kick if they're griefing the group.

    Moral of the story.

    Stop joining dolmen grinding groups.

I so happened to bump into one of these whilst out skyshard hunting and they did exactly this. So pathetic, such PvE scrubs. It's such a scrubby thing to do in the first place, join one of these groups.

    1. It stops any solo player out there from doing even one dolmen because the group is doing laps of them.
    2. Who can't solo a dolmen anyway?

    Moral: dolmen groups are evil.
...I have actually tried joining one when I wanted to level a character faster but I just couldn't do it. No way. A bunch of idiots who barely even knew how to light attack running in loops like bots, obliterating mobs soon as they spawn, sometimes gathering in such numbers they didn't even get monster loot...preventing poor solo players from actually doing dolmens properly, never waiting for a groupmember falling behind...ew. Just ew. I don't understand how people can do it x_x

If you're looking for fast leveling I'd suggest Skyreach with a buddy, at least that's instanced(and I think it should level Fighters' guild too). If you're purely after FG xp you could do Coldharbour public, hundreds of fast respawning daedra and usually no one around.

I really enjoy uncrowded Dolmen, but have stopped doing them after day 2 of the event. I'll jump back in when it calms down and I don't expect cake guy to be there. Seems a lot less likely when there are 2 - 5 people.

If you want your own private Dolmen, try cyrodil at night on a dead server. I kept thinking someone was going to come kill me when I was on the last boss, but I got through all of them in one night without anyone being a jerk. ymmv

Run lots of dolmens during this event, two tips
    1) if loads of people quest instead, you will not get xp.
    2) don't group, you need to do 3% of damage on boss to get xp using plenty of AoE you should tag everything if not 1)
3-8 players work nice, especially nice if low level and can not farm public dungeons fast.

Fastest way to level is probably daily random normal, this work well on level 10 now as you only get easy dungeons.
Has gotten 3 levels on low level characters in them popping +50% potion near the end.

I actually did not expect there to be so many trolls, for real. I thought that people were exaggerating when they told me that the forums were full of them, because I hadn't seen it before. Silly me.

Just proves my point that this needs to be disabled.

I never joined any groups like this nor do I care about clearing dolmens at all. I personally don't get the attraction of doing dolmens on repeat like this... Sure, I'll clear them out if one is active near me but I don't go out of my way to do it.

Or maybe it has to do with the fact that you’re complaining about a non-issue. You can’t interact with the cake unless you’re in a group with them, making this even more scarce and manageable, especially if you know who’s doing it. Personally, I’ve never experienced anything like this and I’ve done thousands of dolmens amongst many groups. The assistants can be a minor irritation, but at a Dolmen, it’s really not that big of a deal. Again, only interactable if you’re in a group. They’ll move.

Not every little annoying thing players do needs to be directly addressed by the devs.

OK now a part of my brain just thought of all kinds of places people could be griefed. Of course my rational mind won't allow me to do it except with people who I already know. But with a group of friends just fooling around there are all kinds of things to mess with each other. "Hey everybody - heavy sack over here ... but have a piece of cake first!" "Everybody turn in your quest - but have some cake first."

I wonder if you could screw up a bot with that, lol?
