So if I want to have a "guild hall" of sorts for my social guild, but I set it so my trading guild cannot visit.. I need to do my own matchmaking of what players are in both and give them individual rights to visit?
Also, for any future members of the guild I would need to check if their in the same trading guilds as me?
Am I understanding correctly?
(Ahem) .... that's not the way that I have interpreted the way that Permissions work (or are supposed to work). From your description, the Permissions UI as it is in the game is ambiguous and misleading.ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »You can set permissions for individual players and for your entire guilds, but there is no permission level for your entire friends list. It sounds like the game priorities Blocking over Allowing. Which makes sense - it's important to keep you safe from someone who might harass you.
What I'm confused about is why you are specifically Blocking a guild rather than simply not giving them Visitor permission. Are you having problems with people from your trading guild popping in to see you during events with your social guild? If not, why Block them?
I know that some homes are highly limited in terms of number of allowed visitors, but it seems like a lot of hassle to have to create a specific list of allowed @names.
This still is not working right, I am having people without permission enter my homesteads that are not on the permission lists and it's now to the point it's like living in an open shopping mall. I have reported it with the usual pictures and screen shots to the point that's all I do anymore and still no admission from anyone it's even a problem. I am told the same thing over and over, turn off adds and run repair tool. And as always the "Go To" fix does nothing and all I have are emails that claim it's an "Unknown" bug and they can't help me.
Needs to be fixed or what I have spent on the homesteads needs to be refunded. Simple fix Zenimax I'm waiting.
@Barbara73 Yeah the permissions are still very annoying.
One thing you could try is making your homes default access "No Access" and then make sure you haven't added the wrong guilds as visitors in that separate tab. And if that fails remove all visitors in all homes, set all to No Access, and this will kick everyone from all your houses. Then you can start from the bottom up adding the people you want.

No guild is permitted never has been on any of my homesteads

@Barbara73 But still check your default access setting. You don't have to have had a guild added to get 100s of players in your house. All it takes is the default set as visitor and one person can come in and then their entire friends list can travel to them instantly.

Okay to end the endless repeating of this I have one person with permission no guild permissions or any other player. I have checked many times now. None of the players that have come in are in the guild I am in, or on my friends list or the friends list of the player that is allowed. No one has been in group with either of us when this has happened.

Sorry, I didn't wish to cause you to repeat yourself. But I do understand that you don't have a guild added. And all I was asking was to check the default access permission, which you hadn't said you did. But anyway if all the checks have been made and you know this person isn't bringing their friends in then I can only hope that ZOS deals with your case on an individual level.
Perhaps @ZOS_GinaBruno can look into @Barbara73 ticket number and get it pushed further?
All I can say is good luck, I hope it is solved one day
