Should cooking dailies reward perfect roe?

Since all the other skills drop gold mats in writ rewards, why not?
Being able to get perfect row from crafting would make it possible to do the Psyjic Ambrosia and Bear Haunch master writs without having to spend 25K at the guild store.
    I don't see a downside to this.
The downside is that all the fishermen are terrified the price they're charging for Perfect Roe might drop by a gold piece or two.

Ofc they should and they should also drop in mail just like the other crafts. I have no clue why when they added perfect roe to the game they never added it to writs and mail drops.

Anyone saying no likes the inflated prices and making gold off of them but to be fair it should be the same as the other crafts.

    For all the naysayers:

Since you say it should only be achievable from fishing, why don't we make kuta's, dreugh wax and tempering alloys only obtainable from harvesting the proper nodes and refining the materials? Since that's the intended way of getting them and that's the reward for being a node harvester?

    The argument is just silly.

They should drop, but at a lower rate than kutas, tempers etc.

Of course they shouldn't - it's a "luxury" commodity, not a necessity. You need golden crafting mats to improve your gear, but there is absolutely no need to use anything which involves Perfect Roe. It's a fancy food for "I want it now" crybabies and mini-maxers.
Btw, I don't sell Perfect Roe. I use it to craft Ambrosia for my new, non-CP guildies FOR FREE. I do sell Aetherial Ambrosia sometimes, but the craft costs of it are so high it's not very profitable.

Yes, but at a very low rate. And probably only from from the highest level writs as well.

Using your logic, why don't they put aetherial dust, nirncrux, transmutation crystals and whatever else in the writ rewards? Then we could all logon and do writs......we wouldn't need to play the game.

Actually, meh. I would have voted "other".

If this was introduced my Master Angler title would be even rarer as many people may stop fishing altogether.

And, although I have no use for XP drinks, this change would mean that using that Perfect Roe on the 2 golden recipes is not such a waste - because prices would just collapse. As it stands now I'd rather sell a Roe for 10k than use it on a temporary buff (ie food).

On the other hand fishng is not that rewarding if it is not the exclusive source... as it gives no CP/XP, and can get quite boring after the first 10 holes.

Maybe if Wet Gunny Sacks were changed to actually include something worthwhile? Like parts to a fishing costume, for example.

When has this been stated a “luxury” commodity?
I’m not being mean I’m really asking maybe I’m wrong but I thought it was just a legendary crafting mat?

It should be a reward, potentially, from all of the crafting writs yes.

Perhaps it is now time to make the glass motif page fragments drop randomly in the world as they have so little worth or value considering the cost to make a page and the present low sale price of such pages yes?

I'd like to see a drop in the price to "mix" them.

Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

I mean you get Temper Alloys from blacksmith crates, dreugh wax from clothing satchels, rosins from woodworking packs, it doenst make sense that there ISN'T roe in provisioner packs. Granted it should be rare, but it should be there

Every other craft line has a chance to drop top tier mats from writs, it's only right that provisioning does as well. It should be a very low drop chance, but a chance.

    That's an even worse argument.

Aetherial dust is for XP pots, nothing combat related.

Nirncrux is a trait. Writs don't give trait items.

Transmutation crystals aren't even related to the crafts in any way, shape or form.

    Try harder.

Yeah. Perfect Roe is TOO rare. I also think Hirelings should provide them on very rare occasion.
