He didn’t catch me on a BS statement. He emphasized the word “might” when I had no intention of it having any emphasis and then called me a liar. Youre acting ridiculous and trying to read way too much into what was a social gathering, not a courtroom. Believe it or not the ZOS employees are people, not robots. I didn’t bring a recorder because I’m not an investigator trying to expose some grand conspiracy. Go outside and talk to people. Maybe a therapist. I’ve never seen people so bent out of shape over the word “might” before.

there MIGHT be reasons why that info is in the API other than to facilitate the miat’s Addon. And no, that’s not a dev quote. That’s 100% speculation. It’ll be nice when the miat’s Addon doesn’t work the way it currently works, but I understand that there might be more to his issue than it seems.

Would you suggest me one? I mean therapist, not developer, since "your" "developers" seems like not very trustworthy people.

I get called a "miatexploiter" everyday, and I uninstalled it like 1 year ago. The fact is, you can hear snipes being fired even if the sniper is in stealth, as long as you yourself is within range of the sound. Why not just dodge or block just incase, 75% of the time you are the target anyway.

I don’t know if I’d even consider them gankers, since most gankers don’t open with snipe or even have it slotted. Miat’s is Cheese. It’s right up there with resource poisons and blessed meridia set IMO. The way it alerts against heavy attacks so that you can perfectly Time a tap block to deprive your opponent of sustain mid fight is extremely effective. But to say that it invalidates a playstyle is to say that the playstyle it invalidates was effective to begin with, which just isn’t the case. There’s not a single good player that slots snipe, and the removal of the miat addon will NOT change that. What the removal will change are the more subtle things, like avoiding heavy attacks and immediately knowing the name and class of your attacker (which is a huge advantage)

If they are no longer there. If.

Since lots of people in the thread seem to be caught up on what was and wasn’t said. Just pointing out nothing was said about what may or may not be changed in the api. Just that some vague part of the the api is doing things they aren’t happy with.

Edit- and it is from the same person who in the past has posted things like that is a bug and we are looking into it. Then after months of hounding and no comment, comes back with no that change was intended. And while I get that they are just relaying what they are told to say, Them saying we are doing some random something, amounts to almost nothing at all.

I honestly don't see the 2 quotes being mutually exclusive.

Interesting to see people accused in game of being a mists user. Honestly never seen that on pceu.. Probably because everyone is using it themselves. (Can it still be called an unfair advantage if everyone has it?)

As to the op's post, there are ways to get around the alerts provided by the add-on, but it does mean specific build and play style choices, and situations which arnt always available.
Stuff like for sorc to frag at point-blank, gankers to open with instant melee attacks etc.
Op"s suggestion can be used to get your target to needlessly waste resources before you engage.

In some ways its like having to play as the class you struggle against to learn its weaknesses. Its the same with the add-on.

The salt about snipe is real

Its a valid playstyle IMO, maybe I am just biased since I play a sniper stam sorc. I deal with Miat users using a heavy attack as opening since heavies from stealth are not detected by the API.

Also choosing the right target helps, Im not trying to snipe a SnB with heavy armor and 30k HP.
