The rate you earn CP will be faster is all. So you will hit 486 quicker now than you would pre update
http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Champion_SystemThe XP required for Champion Point gain is based on the following formula:
(((x / (cap ^ 0.995)) + 0.085) * 400000) if x ≤ cap
(((x / (cap ^ 0.995)) + 0.085) * 400000 * 1.5) if x > cap
Xp to get champion point #300
Pre-dlc: 825,000
when they say “we adjusted the curve,” the number you have does not change. The xp required to get a particular point changes.

If ZOS have changed my XP amount after the update, then I have no questions. But if a character XP is not changed by the update, then I should have received about 20 extra points.
Here is my calculation:
Pre-update:
cp = 485, XP required for 485 = ((485 / (660 ^ 0.995)) + 0.085) * 400000 = 337,637
which means that I had at least 337,637 XP before the update,
Post-update:
a similar amount of XP is enough for 506CP:
((506 / (690 ^ 0.995)) + 0.085) * 400000.0 = 337,078
which means that after the update, if my XP remains the same and was at least 337,637, I should have received 21 points.
