Guildmembers can't view Guildbank contents without Withrdrawl permissions?

Is this an intentional change? I don't see anything about it in the 3.2.5 notes.
I use my guildbank as a public holding space for event items, which members can donate to. Being able to see what we have, and what isn't in stock, is part of the appeal of the system. With the current state of the menu, I can imagine members being discouraged to contribute. 'Why should I help when the gm is hiding everything?'
Were there any statements about this? Clarity would be appreciated.

✭✭✭✭This is an intentional change that was made with the Horns of the Reach update. Additionally there is now a new permission. This is the settings I have for the officers in my guild. They can view the amount of gold but can't take any out. Members below the officer rank can deposit gold if they wish but they can't see the amount stored nor can they withdraw it.

✭✭✭✭✭Before CWC if you didn't have permission to see the gold, you could still see what items were in the bank, even if you couldn't withdraw.8 -

Right, I'm aware of the HotR gold changes, but this isn't about gold. Is View_Guild_Items supposed to be bound to Withdraw_Guild_Items, and if so do you have a source? Why wouldn't those two concepts be separate permissions, like the gold permissions have been given?
I want to admit what the guild has without opening it up to thieves. This ability seems to have been removed.Before CWC if you didn't have permission to see the gold, you could still see what items were in the bank, even if you couldn't withdraw.

Well that's just wrong. Not wrong as in not how it is. Just wrong as in not how it should be.
A player cannot ask for an item be be removed from bank on their behalf if they can't see it. It's not like it's a rank option anywhere in the interface.
Even the recent change for gold is suspect. Why would a guild want less transparency? Are spies in trade guilds that big a problem? Is this indicative of a poorly designed trader auction system by ZOS?5 -
Stormahawk✭✭✭✭Members not being able to see items in the guild bank if they have no withdraw permissions is a problem. As a result, they can't request for an item from the guild bank. Plus, the reduction in transparency is its own problem.
I co-GM one of the largest trading guilds on NA. We would like for our members to have visibility of the items in the guild bank without having to give them permission to withdraw. And to answer @Kahina, no the spies are not that big of a problem. I am not sure why ZOS implemented this.

Unfortunately yes, they were. Ever had your kiosk bid updates read to you, to the digit, as you were making them? I have. Doing arithmetic on the guild gold and the deposit/withdrawal history was enough to take the 'blind' out of the 'blind bid' system, and addons could and did automate that process.

Ok. So hiding item inventory is bad, but hiding gold is good. I can live with that. Or at least I could, if item inventory hadn't recently been hidden as well.
On the gold though. All they really need is a time lag display. Show what the gold was yesterday, unless permissions are granted. The spies will have no idea who shuffled gold from personal accounts to guild accounts prior to bids.1 -
stormtracker✭✭I just noticed this when I visited the Guild Bank all that displays is the following “No Permission; Your Rank does not permit withdrawals from the Guild Bank” and no items are displayed. Under different tabs it states, “No items to show” with a big blank page. This is with add-ons turned on and all turned off. Is this by default or is it a bug? According to the guild master I should be able to see all inventory items just not withdrawal from it.
Also finished with a new install of ESO on a spare computer with no add-ons installed same problem.

Yes, it was a big problem, and adding "view gold" permission was a good change that resolved the issue.
As for members no longer being able to see any items stored in the bank, this is a new problem, because in a large guild you used to be able to have officers withdraw items for anyone who needed them. Now they have no idea what's there to use unless an officer spends a lot of time spamming guild chat to describe the guild bank contents.
Either it needs a permission added to "view bank contents" or simply revert to how it worked prior to CWC patch.3 -
sylviermoone✭✭✭✭✭In addition to the view bank contents thing, it's being reported by many of my guild members that they're having issues depositing gold into the guild bank, as well. We can't track down a rhyme or reason; some people are getting an error that says they do not have permission to deposit to the guild bank even though others of the same rank are able to deposit just fine.
There is not actually a permission that covers depositing gold to the guild bank, so this must be some sort of bug introduced with Clockwork City. A great many guilds run raffles and other contests based on gold deposits, though, so it would be great to get this fixed ASAP.

DEV's if this visibility of GB's is only available if members are allowed to withdraw, there needs to be a permission toggle selector! This is another perfect example of a patch/fix that no one asked for! Please fix it. I run several guilds and you are messing up my mojo. Get it together ZOS.

Believe it or not yes spying is a problem. One of my guild only takes out the view on weekends so we can hide the gold amount for bids.0 -

✭This is causing a rift between myself and a trade guild. Because like I told them, I don't care about whatever $ is in the guild bank. But I like to see what items are there so I know what to craft and donate. They came up with a solution to post the contents of the bank on the web, but I don't want to go outside the game to see MY OWN FRIGGIN GUILD BANK CONTENTS. So I'm sure I will be soon kicked from this guild for not donating enough. It's not my fault, it's Z's fault. Which mental giant thought this is a good idea? LOL"Billions upon Billions of Stars"2
