Wanted Elsweyr. Not going to get Elsweyr.

Even Murkmire would've been preferable to MOAR ELFS.

Not going to go into specifics for fear of spoilers, but there is some pretty strong hints that Summerset will be the next big chapter in ESO, in the same way that clockwork city was hinted at in morrowind.

Personally I'm pretty damn pumped to explore Summerset and all the stuff there, especially since it is somewhere mostly unseen in the modern elder scrolls games.

Anyway I'd like to hear what you guys think.

we probally first get an dungeon dlc around jan/feb, but yeah i strongly have feeling that the isles will be a chapter or dlc, hopefully the sloads will make a return, also some of nocturnal followers (only 2 dead ones tho) wear a costume looking alot like a group we "met" in skyrim, maybe that will be part of a dlc soon? (would post picture dont know how to spoilertab)

Nocturnal costume was shown as an upcoming crown store/crate item in a datamine.

Dungeon DLC comes out in Q3. Jan/Feb will be a base game update like homestead.

I'm not sure. Has anybody noticed the new dragon mound load screen? If they follow the Morrowind “chapter” release marketing model it would have to be Skyrim. I don't think they can wait and hope that the people in game will want to buy another dlc/chapter of a new zone just because it's new. They will need to pull in the Skyrim people to sell boxes.

This makes the most sense. They can save money by doing a Zone that's already been created by Bethesda rather than starting from square zero. They don't need to actually make new maps or lore or anything - just copy it all to a new format.

That's another reason why 1T was so important - it makes the actual alliance that the zone is in completely irrelevant.

I believe the dragon mound loadscreen came with the Horns of the Reach DLC, which would make more sense given that that one was actually set in Skyrim.

Summerset was referred to in pretty much the same way that Clockwork City was at the end of Morrowind, which is pretty compelling evidence for it being next.

Besides, Skyrim already has 2 zones, 4 dungeons and its own damn game, which has already been re-released like 6 times. I'd rather see something new.

Sorry to break your dreams, but this dragon mound loadscreen has been there since Dark Brotherhood DLC as it is part of the main quest there. A Skyrim chapter is very unlikely as the game is only 6 years old and I am not counting the special edition.

I'm fine with it, specially if Raz is there. :)

If it is a chapter I really hope is under $40 though.

Loved Clockwork City story a lot btw. Everything that Sotha said was perfect, these devs love the lore and know so much.
I'm so glad Morrowind stories didn't turn out like when in Swtor they butchered Revan and KOTOR.

Could see it being a Necromancer, given how much of that goes on there with the attacks from the Sload and the Maromer

It's not breaking my dreams. I would be here no matter what zone they did, like most of the people on the forums. But ZOS is about selling boxes and a new chapter about Summerset would not bring in any new buyers. The retention rate on Morrowind will be less than 50% of the new and returning players. New game hitting the market are already putting a lot of pressure to product great quarterly numbers next year. As for the loadscreen maybe it had been around for a while but the have upped the number of times it loads for some reason.

I would rather an expansion of Summerset isle instead of just DLC, but I am really excited if it is the next content that we will be getting, can't wait to see how ZOS handles it.

Summerset will prolly be the "chapter" with Artaeum be the following DLC, like how Morrowind is a chapter and CWC is the DLC.

Whatever it will be. It will be based on what sells better, not what the community wants. They want new players to come in and considering what is happening with Skyrim ('Skyrim Special Edition', 'Skyrim for Microwaves', 'Skyrim for Cats', 'Skyrim Super Duper Special Edition with 1 new texture', etc, etc...) I can see it being build upon the nostalgia of previous games. Unfortunately, a lot of player base does not like the Altmer (Skyrim made sure of that) so as much as I would love my High Elf to explore his homeland (I don't even care about new class/race/spellcrafting) the next expansion will be based on what brings profit.

Don't get me wrong, I admire ZOS for their creativity and being somewhat lore geeks, Clockwork City DLC has blown all other DLC's and even Morrowind out of the water for me. Just being able to listen to the ever mysterious, half-present Sotha-Sil really did feel like speaking to a godly being (something I did not feel at all speaking to Vivec!) and the land itself is just a cherry on top!

So whatever the next expansion will be, I will definitely buy it! Even if it is Skyrim or another part of Vvardenfell (unless it's Argonia / Black Marsh - I have zero interest in the scaly kind!).

there was a short part of some isle in the Clockwork City teaser quest, the nature (trees, etc) was pretty similar to Auridon which is part of the Summerset Isles. I really liked how it looked on that isle.

So if a whole DLC or even a chapter would be there, it would be really nice!
