The kind who disagree with this title.

The people who shout 'git gud' need to just go away. Far away. It started when Dark Souls was released. And if we knew it was going to do this to people, make them into screeching manchildren like the ye olde days of arcades who yelled that they were the best, and were obnoxious about it, we would have burned down the studio it was being made in.

If you think Dark Souls started this trend, you must be very young. People were moaning about carebears ruining the game back when I played Star Wars: Galaxies, and I can guarantee you long before that.

Actually, for a while, Dark Souls was actually a hopeful thing, because it seemed like it might give the L33ts somewhere to go. But it didn't quite work out that way. It was more that once someone completely catered to them and only them, they expected nothing less from everyone else.

Players like myself love difficult games like Dark Souls. I get no joy from beating something that requires little effort. I want something that challenges me, something that makes me have to use my brain to overcome. The issue with games nowadays is that they're too hand fed. Why "conquer" something that's difficult to fail?

And why do people enjoy playing easy games? Do they need some self-assurance or something?

As to random NPC's getting murdered, it used to bug me, but not much anymore. Especially when the NPC is just obliviously standing atop their own lifeless corpse. It's so surreal, it's unintentionally funny. Sometimes I almost feel bad for those poor Akatosh sermonizers... Almost... :p

Oh man, I giggle every time I see an NPC just carrying on with their lives on top of their previously murdered corpses.

There was a brief time in SWTOR where something on the servers got severely borked and NOTHING despawned. So the planet that was full of huge bugs (Balmorra) looked like a scene out of Star Ship Troopers. All the random bad guys were standing on 20 corpses of their previous spawns. It really accentuated just what kind of mass murderers our player characters actually are.

Tank here and my job is to go in, taunt the biggest and the baddest, chain as many others in as I can, talon them in place, hit warhorn, and let my dps/heals go to town. Inevitably there will be a clueless dps who has pulled aggro on one...ONE...random bad guy.

Does the dps run the bad guy next to me so I can swoop him in to my tanky circle of doom? No.

Does the dps run the bad guy to the furthest reaches of the dungeon, completely out of sight of my chains, healers heals, and any possibility of help from the other dps? Yes.

Dead dps in group chat: "Worst tank ever...can't you hold aggro?"

Needy people. You help them once or twice in zone chat and all of a sudden you become their personal eso-wiki. Then they try to friend you. Yes I’m friendly but I don’t want to spend my entire gaming experience serving you and what you want to do.

...needless to say I don’t have a friends list lol. I’m an old curmudgeon who happens to sometimes give good advice/info in zone.

Quite honestly that question can be asked about people who enjoy playing "difficult" games. Do they need some sort of self esteem boost or something?

^^This^^...I might get a good chuckle out of certain behaviors and some might be a little peculiar...but why would I stress out about a video game?...I play it to separate myself from daily stressors...

True those who stress about video games have it good really. There are far more stresses in the real world.

Tho, it´s very cringe when some people on the forums starts talking about "skill", especially when it comes to PvP. X takes more skill then Y.....like who gives a ***.....we play for fun not to show who´s got the most made up skill (at least I do)

People who beg for strangers to craft them training gear in chat. I'm sure many of them are nice people who fully intend to pay for the gear, but you know there are some out there who'd expect you to do it for free just to be "nice," and then they'd try to stiff you for the materials or gold to make it. When I first started the game, I never begged for anything in chat. I just leveled slowly, and leveled up my crafting and became a master crafter. It's not hard; it just takes time.

People who stand in the red for no good reason. We were front-dooring a keep, no ram because it was too hot because oils, door was above 60%, yet there's still idiots stacking up by the door directly under the enemy oils.

Petty arguments in zone chat, especially in pvp. Take it to PMs.

The "ONLY ONE PERFECT BUILD!!!1!1!1!11¿" players. I've played around with my build a lot, and it works pretty well for me. If you have a friendly suggestion, I'll hear it out. But don't put my build down, I've actually put a lot of effort into it. Side note: I once got kicked from a rando vet WGT group because they found out that I don't have SPC, even though I was in WGT to GET me some SPC. There's a special kind of irony in that.

Lastly, gankers who lie in wait along paths in between keeps. I don't understand how you can just sit there and wait. Why?? Aren't you bored?

Not so much a game related one but a community related one.

The people who irrationally seek reasons to be angry about ESO or mad at ZOS and do nothing but slam the game and the devs.

Now I understand peoples upset and gripes. I also understand ranting on the forums (I've been there) but some people seem to be so focused on attacking ESO/ZOS now without any rational thought behind it. Literally everything they do someone will be mad at them and say how much the game sucks, yet they're still here.
