    Right?

Well if the OP is going to start a thread that is answered with the patch notes ... you're going to get a sarcastic response.

Did two vet pledges, got 2 and 3 crystals respectively, then 1 more for the random vet of the day.

So three vet dungeons netted me 6 crystals. And it costs how much to transmute one piece of gear? And they cap the amount you can carry to 100 (or 200 if you have ESO+)?

This system seems like a joke, can't believe I was looking forward to it 'solving' any gear farming problems. It doesn't even really mitigate them at these rates.

I don't know how to feel about this as a non-eso+ player. I thought 200 was the cap for everyone. Great...

Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 25 DLCs. 41 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game.

Ok looks like its 1-3 from all content, you need to do around 25 runs to transmute one item.
Good news is that you get them from normal too. I thought drop rate was around 4 not two.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Is that the serious cost?

Because they only let you have 100 crystals.

I suppose I shouldn't be suprised. ZOS cannot be depended on to make good decisions period.

    Right?

Well if the OP is going to start a thread that is answered with the patch notes ... you're going to get a sarcastic response.

But truth be told, if one bothers with that, the OP question was NOT answered in the patch notes, right?

The PTS notes are not final and changes frequently occur at launch. So they do not answer the question.

The actual patch notes don't tell you how many drop from the various places... So they don't answer the question either.

Of course, one should always expect sarcastic replies from posters, especially certain ones.

The actual patch notes were ***so highly informative*** on the subject.

"Transmutation requires Transmute Crystals, precious resources occasionally received for successfully completing Veteran PvE activities such as Pledges, Trials, and Arenas, and several PvP sources such as Rewards for the Worthy, Battleground end of match rewards, and AvA end of campaign rewards. Transmute Crystals are an account wide, capped currency which cannot be banked or traded"

Sure, it's a bit of a high amount, but in my opinion the idea is that you grind for a bit of equipment and if after x runs you still don't have a bit with the desired trait, you can make it that desired trait. ;)

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom I find it incredibly irritating that you have not once in the course of this cycle (except maybe sort of in the first PTS) given us a unified all-in-one list of what we get where for these, instead leaving it to the players to sorta kinda piece together. Your entry in the live patch notes was even more vague than the PTS entries, despite it all being a relevant change from what was previously live to now.

Please, for the love of all that is good, give us an official list in one specific location of all the things that drop them with how many drop from each thing. It's not like it's subject to change, or a big secret, so why the nonspecifics? Even with multiple unofficial player guides (that still don't have everything), this is still the sort of thing y'all as community managers should be communicating.

I'm not asking for a fancy chart with colors and illustrations. Just a bulleted list with the finalized numbers so that we know for sure what's live.

This, its horror stories of people doing VMA 500 times without getting wanted sharpened weapon back then it was the only trait. Many dungeon weapons are also very rare.
+50 runs in WGT without seeing an restoration staff.

The only issue is the cap, I guess they don't want to get an situation like the undaunted keys there people sit on hundreds of keys and can easy get the shoulder the same day an new dungeon drop.
Still 100 crystals or two transmutes.
Back to my WGT runs, I have SPC armor with various traits, I have an decent lighting staff sharpened rather than infused but works but pretty pointless without the healing staff. now I reach my 100 crystal limit, now I have to use some so I transmute traing robe into infused, next run infused robe drops.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

So from what I'm reading here us pver's are averaging about 5-6 crystals after 3 vet dungeons which is the most that average pvers do per day that rewards crystals. And I just saw a pvper say that in 3 hours of simply sieging in cyrodiil, he already got 100 crystals just from rewards for the worthy... Sure.... Sounds fair

I did a undaunted vet pledge daily quest.
I got a crystal I could click that would create 1-3 crystals.
    I got 1.
I did not get any other crystals during the entire dungeon run of veteran elden hollow.
So my total reward for doing an undaunted pledge quest was 1 crystal.

@STEVIL, you’re right to a certain extent ... the actual stones per activity wasn’t rolled out by ZOS in today’s patch notes.

However, some forum-goers had done an excellent job of summarizing the info we did have (on stone counts) ... and posted those on the PTS forums.

Personally; I'm not worried about Transmute Crystals.

I do not run Trials, Arenas, HM Group Dungeons, PvP, etc., so they will never drop for me.

I'll just stick with the Weapons and Armor that I craft. At least this way, my gear always has the Traits that I desire. :)

I'm slightly aggravated after reading this thread. The process of 'transmutating' an item should not be easy or cheap. Just stop for a moment and consider the ramifications if it was. The market would collapse. The need to 'grind' for anything would greatly diminish. Everyone would be meta.

Personally, if anything I'm put out that crystals can be attained via any 'normal' content. I feel that the privilege of transmutation should be only for end-game players... but that's another conversation, for another thread

Looks like its time for more zerging after we are done with dolmens.

PvP players has to run PvE to get gear, PvE players need to PvP to get bis traits.

Having them drop from random normal daily was very wise.
if not it would killed dungeon finder for vet dungeon.
Imagine all the scrubs who would queue for random veteran hoping for an easy dungeon or an carry.

Rewarding it for normal pledges, not so much, perhaps if normal dropped a bit less. say vet give 3 average, normal give 2.
You still want to do it in vet unless you know its an dungeon you hate.

I see your point, and reluctantly agree with you about giving out crystals on normal dungeons for the reason you gave.

I can't help but feel there's something unfair about these crystals being so easily attained

Again,if things never change between PTS and live, that would have some relevance.

Just to be clear, the vast majority of the info released in today's ofgicial and final patch notes for the CWzC release appeared in the PTS as well. Yet it was repeated in final form.

If all those had been left out, my bet is there would have been a lot more posters than the one asking for the basic math for the new subsystem.

My bet is the resulting carpet tunnel the sarcastic Avengers would have suffered going after all those folks wondering (reasonably imo) wht there were so many gaps would have been something to see.

But hey, folks can choose their targets for sarcasm or ridicule based on their own preferences.
