    it is just a shame
if you have no idea what to do about it, ask your base, but don´t do something so useless as ZOS has done by doing this!

I agree with the idea to remove wrath.. heavy armor should not have damage passives.
But just removing a passive without replacing it is a mistake, its a straight nerf.

What is heavy armor and what is it for?.
Wrath was basically the reward for being able to stay in combat for a long time. That makes sense except that when you get hit by a ton of people it stacked instantly and isn't even about staying in combat over time.
You take Heavy armor if you are intending to stay in a fight and to do so for as long as possible.

    Options for replacement.

We can help hybrids a bit by making the resource return on heavy attacks restore both resources this is also amazing in PVE for Tanks. Basically your fully charged heavy attacks will restore a set amount of both resources.

A stacking defensive buff instead of a stacking damage buff. Heavy armor is for defense not damage that makes more sense than wrath. Whille this is good in PVE most tanks are hitting the mitigation cap so it will have a bigger effect on PVP where everyone has penetration. The longer you stay in a fight the harder you are to kill.

Time and time based buff instead of a taking damage buff.. now this is complicated by the fact you can be "in combat" due to being in a group. Which makes it really hard to do. Perhaps instead we can use procs, which by the nature of staying in combat will give you more chance to proc it. I know people hate damage procs so I think a heal proc is what you are going to want. Second wind, you have a% chance to proc a heal.... errr I guess I just created a take damage version of red diamond. hmm I am not sure how this would impact PVE tanking but most tanks die from getting one shot than anything else.

The bigger issue with the removal of Wrath is Zos already removed a passive to add Wrath yet they are not replacing wrath with anything else. This makes HA passives weaker than it has ever been since the game was released.

It doesn't. Constitution is stronger than it was still.

Let’s make this clear; in a years time heavy armor has lost 15% evade chance and 25% block reduction

Not even close to the truth.

Constitution is about twice as strong. (Multiplied by ~4 with the DB update, then almost halved with morrowind)
    +25% heavy attack resource restore.
More max health and healing received

No block cost reduction anymore, but now there's the sturdy trait to optimise that instead

Sturdy is only good on dk, becouse you can actually block with it. If you use sturdy you won't use impenetrable, no impen=death by a 8k incap

No impen means that 8k incap is gonna hit you for at least a good 10k

It’s a good change but still not sufficient. Some fine tuning on sets like Ravager, 7th Legion and Fury would be needed too. If that’s done you then can buff mitigation for HA further. Also buff MA by giving more dodge roll cost reduction if wearing 5+ pieces. Reduce number of undodgeable skills. Only ultimates should be undodgeable. Remove major evasion and replace it with a skill giving more active defense (like prolonging the dodge window for another 0.5 sec or so)

Defensive layout should be as follows:

    - LA: Shields/Heals
    - MA: Roll Dodge/Heals
    - HA: Resistances/Heals

The armour lines would be distinct and on equal footing that way.

So it's a straight up nerf.
That was the whole point, to tone down the damage on a heavy armor build, which actually makes a lot of sense.

The problem is that it also means its not as tanky as you would want either. I don't believe this was a good way to go. Give back stam/mag regen while blocking. Lower the amount of absorb you get when blocking. Problem solved. I have a strong feeling Heavy Armor is going to be back in the toilet again, where its been most of the life of this game.

Edit: I'm tired of DPS whiners. DPS-whiners are ruining the game. Sets are Ruining the game. I frankly wish they'd get rid of all set gear. What we really need is balance and I'm not very hopeful about this change. If developers want Tanks to be able to do nothing except take a beating, they need to seriously considering giving us different loadouts so we can have a Tank build for Trials and a load for pvp or everything else so we don't have a waste of a character.

Edit2: Heavy armor needs a reason to be interesting outside of a Trial-tanker setting.

Not if they nerf incap :p They need to raise the cost of that OP ulti, nerf soul assault, and get rid of the perma-stealth builds. They hit every defensive ulti. We need balance <3
