well my role is a tank but for more efficient role i like to add some tweaks as dps
do you run dungeons or do you run trials?
do you run with a regular competent group, or do you run with PUG?
for trial, forget about your own dps, let the other 8~9 guys do all the damage. any damage you dish out is insignificant
for dungeon, if you run with a good group, debuffing mobs and buffing the party, crowd control the mobs and pull them together etc will result in higher overall group damage.
if you run with PUG.. yea bring a Hunding's Rage set and prepare to do some dpsing yourself in case the group has weak damage.
personally i go for two extremes in PUG. i keep one set really dedicated for tanking and blocking, and one set for dps and a bit of taunting. coz i found it impossible to carry some groups if i don't go serious at dpsing.
if you want to go somewhere inbetween tho, there are two sets you might want to try.
1. Infernal Guardian set from City of Ash I, it procs 3x AOE flame attack at 5500 damage each when you cast igneous shield (50% chance), may proc every 6 seconds.
2. Leeching Plate set from Imperial City Prison, it procs a pool of poison that deal 1250 damage per second when you take damage (8% chance). it also heals you for the amount of damage dealt.
both sets benefit from DK's passive, fire damage and poison damage. the damage from proc set is fixed and does not scale to maximum stamina and weapon damage, so you don't lose damage by investing in health. i might suggest you to try Plague Doctor set to go along with those two, since that would really benefit your Igneous Shield.
with 42 points in health, 5 or 7 heavy armor pieces, and food buff, plus plague doctor set, your damage shield should be able to mitigate a lot of damage for you.
damage shield does not benefit from phy resistance and spell resistance and does not even benefit from blocking, so chudan and lord warden one piece bonus would not be very helpful. leeching plate will give you a lot of healing to improve your survivability anyway.
there's the Thunderbug's Carapace set that also proc AoE damage on you getting hit, unlike leeching plate it doesnt give you healing and does not work with your passive, but this set can be bought at guild store so you can easily get a set to try.

after all what you wrote , you still didnt gave me a specific set haha

you should be using 3 sets.
i'd say plague doctor, leeching plate, infernal guardian.
cast igneous shield more often to protect your group and to benefit from infernal guardian.
I was actually using Infernal Guardian on my Magicka Sorcerer tank and I had to remove the set in vRoM because it was targeting the wamasu handlers and releasing two at a time. A much better choice it's Iceheart because it gives you an 8.5K+ shield, does some AoE damage and also can apply the chilled status on enemies reducing their damage by 15%.

Forget about the DPS. Getting 5k dps instead of 3k dps is not worth the loss in survivability.
You cannot go wrong with Torug and an infused crusher enchant on your main bar.

i like Iceheart set so much that i even use it on my stamsorc! the damage isn't so great tho.
how's the proc chance for chilled status from iceheart's aoe? any stats on that?
Lol SNB/Bow? Youre joking right?
