Concerning the re-Application of Bleed Effects

Currently, most bleed skills deal their damage in a staggered manner. There is no initial tick, and it takes 2 seconds for the first tick to come about.

For skills like Cleave, this leaves it in an bit of a slightly unintuitive, but still manageable state, where the bleed only begins to apply once your are done using the skill, rather than persisting throughout the skills use.

It also negatively impacts other bleeds that have a % based application. Such as with the 2H and DW axe passive bleeds, who can be overwritten much the same if you're unlucky enough to get lucky with several applications of a bleed. (this could be an issue later if these passives ever get touched)

My suggestion would be to either spread out the damage to include the 0 tick, or create a separate version of these bleeds that has damage on the zero tick that is only applied to a target that already has the same bleed applied to them.

Support, I'm a fan of axes and losing damage from a re-application on the bleed proc is simply bad design.

Yep. Having two axes is simply not advantageous in the current state, as you reapply it very often before it even ticks.

Bumping because this issue still hasn't been addressed, despite being quite game-breaking for axe users...

A quick fix for the axe bleed problem would be to simply give a 2 second internal cooldown to the bleed proc. Minimal coding required, yet fixes the issue completely.

Gasp! I'm gonna need a blood transfusion. :#

Hmmm, so if I am hacked repeatedly with an axe ... I will suffer much blood loss ... that means if a vampire appears and tries to feed off my poor blood-drained body, that vamp will simply be SOL. I like it, I like it.

Even with this bug bleed builds have insane pressure.
Now don't get me wrong, I want this bug to be fixed,
but Im also worried that bleed builds might go out of control.

The fix could be accompanied by a reduction to the axe bleed tooltip. I'm sure most users would be happy to have a reliable mechanic that does less damage, than one that has the potential to do nothing at all if you get unlucky.

If this was to be addressed, and having action taken upon it, the bleed damage would certainly need to be lowered. with a 16% chance of bleed even with some ticks being overwritten, it can easily make up a 5% boost in damage which is similar to that of the Dagger and Sword bonuses.

If the damage was lowered by about 20% (just a random number) and it was spread to deal damage on application as well, I think that would be a good starting point.

this would make bleeds a bit more consistent, as well as allowing them to make more of an impact in DoT based builds.

Im not joking about this one, Bleed Nbs are real and oh boy they are scary.
ZOS can mess with the numbers but they need to be careful. Bleeds are total gamechangers for PvP.
