No way. I like it the way it is. I can boost my health if i need more survivability just by swapping these sets :*

The one piece health bonus is actually really nice in endgame content.

As a DPS you'll want to hit 17-18k hp before team buffs. With max CP and blue food and no other bonuses you'll get 16k or so. Running Skoria or Nirineth means that you hit that ideal number and not need to invest attribute points in HP, and also opens the door to running purple food.

But if you're going 5/1/1 you'll be just over 17k health with health bonuses from undaunted and heavy armor.

Not if you go with Whichmother's Potent Brew. That will leave you with something like 15K unless you have a racial health bonus. For example an Argonian will have about 16.4K health even without Skoria because of the racials, which is at the lower limit of HP for safely navigating veteran content.

That's true but the person I responded to was specifically talking about blue food. Honestly, I have mixed feelings giving Skoria/Nerein'eth a magicka bonus because I imagine when I get to vHOF I'll want more health than the 17k I feel comfortable with in other trials. On the other hand I don't see my self using either of those sets much outside of those niche situations except maybe Skoria on a NB or in PvP.

Skoria procs all the time on Templar and DK since all your skills are DoTs. From my experience I can say Templars need higher recovery unless the fight is static and they can stay on their rune. Same goes for DK unless there's someone else giving them off-balance all the time since running blockade yourself is not that high uptime; also the resource return from battle roar doesn't scale with resources anymore so there's not that much sustain to be had there. If you weave LA all the time between skills and don't do about 2 heavy attacks per rotation you'll see your magicka evaporate rather quickly if you run with just 800 base recovery, even with elemental drain applied. So in fact having that extra 350-400 recovery at the cost of 1.4-1.5K magicka, and staying in the safe zone with your health may actually improve DPS.

To everyone who wants to keep the health bonus, did you know that you can shift a few attribute points to health? You don't have to go 64 in magicka and 0 in health. The individuals that would like more damage and less health, like the OP, do not have this option, since they are already invested fully in magicka.

The only semi-valid argument against this change is for stam users that would not benefit from a magicka or spell 1 piece. This could easily be accommodated by a 1-piece bonus like Slimecraw (both crits) or Domihaus (both resources).

I'd also like to point out that at most you are missing out on 2% dps from trading one pc hp for one pc max magicka.

There is more variability in human error in rotation than that.
The only time it will ever make a difference is going for high scores in trials, and even then, more HP means less chance at dropping the vitality bonus.

Shifting your attributes from magicka to health achieves the same effect, but costs 3.2K gold each time you swap them around. The monster set is free.

To all these people above who like the idea of keeping health bonus in Nerieneth: do you even use it? Because I can't see anybody using this set in any content. In pvp the proc is just so slow that it can be easily dodged. In pve it is simply a dps loss - every magicka build has much better alternatives. NOBODY uses it. Really. .
    I guess im nobody then
