I was just trying to playfully rub in the fact that BGs were meant to be a small scales wet dream but instead they're a huge flop. But let's go with what you said.

According to who? Small scale players or you? BGs are something that was heavily requested, and once delivered, provide a lot of fun occasionally and another context for PvP. Ive had some good times in BGs and am glad they exist.

But make no mistake. Small scalers love cyrodiil for the same exact reason that any one else does: the thrill of unpredictable and dynamic open world PvP.

BGs would be fun if they were implemented correctly.

    Ranked Mode:
Fixed named teams, challenge matches, with 4v4 or 8v8 modes leaderboards based on win/loss ranking end of season rewards (master weapon or some such) every patch.

    Casual Mode:
Free queue(4max), all bg types, 8v8, some group matching where possible, no leaderboard just rewards for each match (some gold, xp, and ap with a bit of gear)

Exactly in the point, imo. +1

Very simple question. What happened to medium scale pvp on NA/PC? You hear a lot from the small scale pvp'ers who like to solo or run in groups of 8 or less and we all have ran into the 24+ man raids, and the faction stacks. People seemed focused on these 2 types of pvp. What about the people who like to play mid-scale? What happened to the organized coordinated serious pvp guilds out there? It seems the game has forgotten those of us who enjoy that play style have ever existed.

zerging in huge 24+ and switching factions has to be discouraged!

Compared to people that I've ignored = I am 18% more insightful, 20% less agreeable, and 88% more awesome.

EP has Dreadlords but honestly idk where theyve been for the last two weeks. EP has no one. recently we've seen <Generations of Honor> and <Raging Potatoes> both fielding 6-10 each. AD has <DEAD WAIT> a 6 man group. and well. thats it besides whoever else comes on the server whenever they feel like it.

Dreads are still alive and well. Running with them right now. And still in Shor. Maybe you've just been running at different times.

When you have a combat game, where 4 or 5 guys with 4000+ spell damage still can't kill half the population.... medium scale PvP falls apart.

No one ever runs out of resources, way too many no death tanks, Ult Bombs have replaced damage combo's... it's killing the game.

I'd be interested to hear what people in the mid-size PVP community here think about the upcoming destro nerf.

I think it only makes the zerg ball stronger and makes it even harder for the small-scalers. The mid size and up will just add another destro to the group composition.

Like VD and earthgore and AoE caps and everything else that they made to try and give tools to fight the ball groups, the ball groups end up just running more of it and it just makes them that much stronger than everyone else.

I for one welcome our ZOS overlords.

There's never been damage combos and it's always been the case that 5 organized people with high damage builds can kill dozens.

Look back to launch, perma bats/talons do or perma negate sorc with infinite streaks. Bats get fixed, everyone cheers, negate still gives you pretty much infinite sustain and healing and now blockade spam is a thing and 1 person can wipe an entire raid if they do the wrong thing. Hooray 1.6 comes along with new resource values, no more soft caps and CP along with many things that were considered op being nerfed. But wait high damage builds can now run shooting star and basically one shot people with it, that timed with a prox Det and you can easily take out many people, don't forget 25-30k leaps as well as 1 shot magic sorc dawnbreaker. IC rolls around finally no more burst builds(probably one of the only patches that didn't have a good bomb build). Orsinium patch comes and prox Det gets changed and here comes the bomb blades, sure there's no VD but you don't need it with 15k+ tethers and prox's. Thieves guild rolls along and introduces VD giving bomb blades a huge buff and that basically became the burst meta until destro ult.

I could go into way more detail but you get the idea. It has always been about well timed ult bombs it's just changed Ults throughout time. In order for a good raid to survive it's not just about stacking bomb blades and using destro, a good raid needs a variety of Ults from negate to mitigation ults to healing/survivability ults to cc ults and that will always be the case no matter what the meta is.

It's going to be much harder to kill an organized group IMO. As it is solo bombing is already tough and this is going to pretty much force solo nightblades back to running only tether. As much as people complain about destro and how op it is, it was also far and away the best counter to zerging and IMO EotS should scale higher based on the more people hit just like prox, this way its not going to be all that effective for zerging someone down if it's a 4v1 or whatever but it will help when fighting outnumbered.
