Magplars: what do you use for a spammable attack?

I like solar flare for the range, the 20% bonus on next attack, and he fact it hits like a truck ... but the downside is the 1.1 second cast time (kinda kills the whole weaving thing?)
Puncturing sweep is awesome because it's instant and self-heals, but has no range and damage sucks...
Is there one I'm missing? I've been looking at all the attacks for destro/resto magplar and there's a couple good dots, but which spammable should I be using?

PurpleDrank✭✭✭I always used Puncturing Sweeps as my spammable, swapping over to Force Pulse if I wanted to stay ranged. I haven't DPSed for a while though so there may be something better now.0 -

Chronicburn✭✭✭✭I had been using reflective light before I tried solar flare, I just thought going vampires for that sweet extra long dot would be better and then using a different attack to spam would be good ... but yeah, reflective light never sucked :0)0

the other morph for the flare will change to a pulse dot with clock work city...could be interesting
i usually use vampires bain + elemental blockade + the spear shard thing + ritual of retribution + lightning heavy attacks
im looking forward to the morph change of the flare and if i can incorporate it...another dot is great...just wondering about the cast time but maybe you can run into melee range while casting it and follow it up with sweeps
I found that i like vampires bain better due to longer dot time on heavy enemies/bosses... i rather use lightning heavy attacks than reflective light...this is also why im usually not using sweeps but rather lightning heavy attacks since they regenerate magicka so i never run out0 -

✭As a magplar healer, my damage spam is shards and beam.
As magplar dps, don’t spam, rotations is how to get dps number up, otherwise it suck horribly.Pc na0 -

✭Sweeps forever! Dark flare is fun to use and deadly, but any experience enemy will bash or interrupt you everytime. If your gonna use a staff and want to be a ranged dps, go with force pulse or reflective light mixed with javalins and dark flares. ✭✭✭✭✭In general you shouldn't "spam" attacks. It's typically best to put some Damage Over Time [DoT] abilities and then do a couple of instant-cast skills ("spammables") and then back to DoTs when the ones you originally used.
Puncturing Sweep is the strongest instant-cast a magplar has.Make Rush of Agony "Monsters only." People should not be consecutively crowd controlled in a PvP setting. Period.0
