I am neither defending the change then or the change tomorrow just pointing out the conclusion drawn from brief patch notes about all the whys and why-nots in dev minds may not be totally reliable. i would suggest that perhaps tea leaves scattered over aardvark entrails and then a long pole vault may make for better, more accurate conclusion leaping.
I think the changes to Disorient abilities is a good example of ZOS creating its own problems.

I recall no outrage about these abilities. They are all currently useful in PVP and no one I am aware of considers them to be OP.

Disorient has a different mechanic than other CCs which is interesting. The powerful ranged CC of these abilities was balanced by the fact damage broke the CC which provided the target with free immunity. This also contributed to interesting gameplay at times as some disoriented players choose to gamble on damage breaking the CC.

ZOS created a big mess for nothing. Some players are stressed because they've lost abilities and playstyles. Others are stressed because they feel the new Rune Prison is OP. Players who disagree argue about changes that are whimsical and were not necessary.

Anyone who remembers the 1T reboot as a time of sunshine and rose petals forgets a lot of major complaint threads then about how horribly this ruined the games for quite a few, both before and after.

Seems every patch has doomed the game and ruined it and proved the devs know nothing... for a subset of players.
Though many elements of 1T were very good and had little resistance, time has proven many of the issues raised during the 1T PTS to be completely valid. The same has been true for the patches since. To some audiences -- especially PVP players -- the game has been moving in a bad direction for quite some time. In the case of AvA, it is fact that it is less active than it was in the wake of these changes.

It's been like this since launch. A few people always complain alot about certain aspects of the game.

Most people that are alive are worthless and whiny. People love to complain about anything and everything because they lack the power to create their own happiness in life.

Ignore the people that complain and that are negative-thinkers. Their opinions are lackluster, their souls are devoid of light.

Iv'e actually written so much as to why this community is the way it is already, it's not worth repeating.

It's odd to me how some other MMO's have a super positive community and we have League of Legends lite here. However I am attempting to be the change I want to see on the forums, and it's not easy given the fact that some here just post to hate and troll without actually playing the game.

I dunno....maybe you should have to subscribe to get full forum access?

CWC, and we thought Morrowind nerfs were bad. After the first week of CWC, and the reality of all the disappointing changes two patches in a row, well, probably become one of those casuals ZOS seems to want us to be; log in for a week, out till next disappointing patch, in for a week.....

To be completely honest no more than 20% of the games population comes on forums or even ever came once. Most people that love the game love it enough to where they feel they dont have to keep up with patch changes because in the end they will still play the game.

And many just dont even know this website let alone remember the invitation they got to the forums when first purchased game.

I have over 1200 guildies and not that i have talked to all of em but the ones i have communicated with over the year and a half have never came on forums or talked about a thread.

I think the forum people are the fans that like to keep eso talk around when they aren't playing at home. Like when im at work with spare time or on lunch break forums is almost a forsure thing im lookin at 2-3 times a week.

Cheating is still not really addressed in ESO pushed away a lot of good players.

Banning Cheaters then letting them back again was a bad move.

It is apparent locking and deleting threads rather than addressing the issues is the approach pushed people away, even from giving feedback.

Hiding mounts in crown crates and restricting items to limited time didnt help either.

20%? You don't even have 20% of playerbase speaking English I think... ZoS say they sold 10kk copies, so 20% would mean 2kk accounts on forums... I don't think there are over few thousands who visit forums daily.
