I bought the memento one at a guild store because I didn't participate in last year's festival, and so didn't get one at the time. The memento never worked for me. Either they don't work when you get them from guild stores, or else I'm just clueless.bloodthirstyvampire wrote: »

Memento does not work, the consumable works wonders.

While in PVE, another player randomly started flinging what appeared to be feecal matter at other players, including myself.
What is this? Is this some sort of new emote? FYI: the player appeared to be a Warden.

no it isnt
No, I didn't have it in a quickslot. I'll try that.JasonSilverSpring wrote: »@SydneyGrey, did you put the memento in a quick slot? Once you quick slot it, you target a player and press the quick slot key. It should work that way if you have the memento.
Sounds like a mental problem. Is there some sort of benefit, like a title or achievement, to be gained from using these mementos on someone over and over and over? I ask because both I and my friend have had people just randomly come up and mudball us repeatedly for like ten minutes, as fast as they could manage to repeat it, and the other day I had someone follow me halfway across Craglorn splatting me repeatedly with a bird nonstop. I ignore it as if they aren't there and eventually they give up, but I have to wonder what the payoff is for following someone around aiming a memento at them for like 15 minutes. Or is that just some kind of mental problem I happened to randomly encounter?

These are the kind of threads you see 3-5 years into an MMO where a faction of the population, now fully engaged into the PVE/store/housing/youknowwhatImeanUcasual begin to expose themselves.
You'll start to see comments like "no one should be able to throw something at me" or "this is lore breaking" or "this has destroyed my immersion and RP".
Its a good sign that the MMO has made the turn from strats needed for dungeon crawls and PVP to casual f2p. Most modern MMO's do this since around 2010. These are the individuals who will pay 30 dollars for an elk mount and then scream all over the forums that sorcs are OP.
Likely they have NEVER died on a quest in this game, because the devs has dumbed the game down so much that yes sorcs are OP now. VR6 when 3k health was a lot? Not so much.
Some people think this signals the decline, others, like myself simply wait for the next good mmo to come along and garner from it the good 2-3 years of game play before this occurs.

You obviously reacted in a negative and inflammatory manner towards these people, hence the lengthy amount of time they continued. For your pathetic swing at mental health at the end there, I would happily throw mud at you for longer.
