Cyrodiil Performance - Perspective from a casual player

Hi all,

This is my first forum post. I played Elder Scrolls Online for a few days during BETA and lost interest because of performance. I received a promotional email a year ago and decided to give this game another chance. I was very with the improvements made since BETA. After the free ESO plus event a few months ago, I decided to sub to the game, and this was a FIRST for me in a long time as I am strict about spending money on pixels. I have been up to this point a "casual PVE" player, but the double AP event introduced me to Cyrodiil and PVP and I have been living in Cyrodiil ever since.

My experience in Cyrodiil has been mired in frustration. The lag, load screens, performance issues, sound issues, and disconnects has taken much of the enjoyment out of playing. I was disappointed to learn that these issues have been ongoing for a long time. I briefly browsed the forums and did not find any communication from the Developers that would suggest that this is a top priority and that improvements can be expected soon. I find that I am online less and less because of these issues and fear that one day I will decide that I have had enough.

I want this game to continue to succeed and for our community to grow and prosper. I urge the Developers to prioritize performance issues for the next patch, and to communicate clearly their intentions regarding these issues on the forums.

Thanks,
Doctorium

One day, you will indeed have had enough. I hate to be the pessimist in the bunch, but this has turned into a money mill. I was the same way with subscriptions until I realized exactly how little it really costs to get all you can out of the game. Fifteen dollars a month, $3.75 weekly. For the price of two decent-sized candy bars a week, this game offered a lot.

With that said, I've dropped my subscription.

This game isn't even worth that anymore.

Welcome back . Happy to hear you found fun in PVP . Next patch is supposed to include a performance improvement boasting a 10+ FPS increase and shorter loading screens . Fingers crossed !! You are not alone in being frustrated . Communication is really at a all time low on this issue and they are really underselling this upcoming improvement or adding any new info about it . I know they are also removing 32-bit support next year which may help if running two supporting bit types was an issue . A move to the newest direct X would help I think instead of multiple direct X support . Just have to stay tuned to find out I suppose . It is bad enough aI am just not pvping anymore until the new patch .
