on xbox eu a temp costs 10k his character is 5 heavy 1 medium 1 light so 5x8=40x10k=400k
wax costs 7k each 7kx16=112k sword and board and a two hander
    sword+two hander= 16 temps x10k=160k
    plus shield 8 rosin 8k each=64k

grand total=736k for that one character

Holy crap, I never realized it was that expensive. But then, I'm on PCNA, so I guess it's not. Not entirely, at least.

This doesn't make much sense. When housing first dropped, there were lots of people selling master writts for well over a million gold. Same with sharpened IA and MD staffs. Why would anyone think they'll get in trouble for passing a million gold to a friend?

It might be, well, "safer" isn't exactly the correct term, but less of the "suspicious activity" flag now. When the game started, people did get in trouble for sending, at the time, large amounts of gold to a friend/guildie/significant other. The amounts that caused flags then wouldn't cause anyone to even blink now. People came to the forum to complain they got a temp ban or they had to verify why they sent 10k or 42k to someone else. That was the cost of the original horses, btw. Plain horse, horse, was/is 10k. If you wanted the [then] special horses with boosted beginning stats for speed, or inventory so when you finished feeding them apples or hay or whatever you'd have slightly better finishing stats.

Now, of course, the game has changed and people have a LOT more gold.

I have four accounts and send lots of gold between them all the time -often in the millions (I run a trading guild). No issues - and why should there be?

I imagine Zenni has way more to worry about than you sending a few hundred thousand gold to a mate.

I send large sums of gold to my wife on the regular. I'd say I've probably sent her 10-15m gold over the years in amounts from 50k-500k and never had any issues.

I wish I could do this with my wife. "Happy birthday darling, check your ESO inbox i've sent you a present"

Jokes aside, people here so much afraid to make any action, makes me wonder how do they make it out in real life, in this cruel world.

You can, if you want. Have the crowns in your account and contact Support. There is a pilot gifting program underway.

I think the tickets asking to buy/gift items from the crown store are handled by Mykael.

I don't see the issue. Countless guilds hold raffles every week and some of the prizes are pure gold. Just last week I won 500k gold and it was sent to me by mail.

I can only image the insane number of gold getting transferred daily. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I have transferred large amounts of gold with friends face to face several times in the past. I think I even sent a million in the mail to one once. I am not sure if these things things were flagged and then OK'd on personnel inspection or not flagged at all. In either case, I think you will be fine giving gold to you friend as this activity is not counter to the EULA. However, if this is a post that is really about selling gold to someone you don't actually know that latter case (flagged and then looked at by personnel) would then end differently for you.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.
