Plague Horse?

I thought the Plague Horse would be available for purchase with the Reaper's Harvest crates. I have never been this excited for a mount in the game and decided I would just buy crates until I had enough gems for this one. But.. it's not available in the store? What am I missing? It's in all of their posts across social media about this season of crates but I can't actually find it. I'm pretty sure I just fell into a trap and wasted a bunch of money on nothing.

This horse and two other mounts are not purchasable with crowns or gems, just crates. You must go through RNG hazard if you want them.

✭✭✭Don't gamble on them. The drop rate is abysmal. I know people who tried to get the Dwarven Vitrine Mount last season and dropped hundreds of dollars without luck. Just buy what you were originally planning on buying, and if you get a rare mount great, if not, maybe next season.Invictus

I'd buy quite a few things off the crown store for this "season". The motifs definitely, some of the masks, mounts, and pets.
Amount of crates I will buy attempting to get items I want to buy; 0. Zero.
Amount of crowns Zenimax won't be getting from me; More than I want to think about, since there was a LOT of stuff I liked this time around.
Maybe Balamoor will buy another 200 or 300 crates to make up what I won't be spending. Since he claims he buys 75 more crates with every "I don't like the gamble boxes" thread.

Yea, the RNG has proven to be absolutely useless. I thought for once I could just accept that fact and buy crates until I had enough gems. I've laughed at people "leaving the game!" over these crates, but I get it now. I already pay for the game monthly, now I've spent a ton on crowns just to get a mount they've been advertising ALL OVER THE PLACE that isn't even a freaking option.
I love ESO, but I feel directly lied to by the company. I gave them a ton of money for something they've been advertising everywhere, only to learn I can't actually get it.3 -

✭✭✭✭✭ZOS had a good thing going when they added gems to crown crates, so people didn't feel compelled to gamble. They could finally save up their gems from recycling junk or duplicates and know they would eventually have enough to get the things they really wanted.
Now they have reverted to putting the most desirable items behind a gambling wall where you can't buy them with the gems they added. It is a total reversal and incredibly disappointing from the perspective of a long time customer and supporter of their franchise.
Not only that but they pretty much put everything else even remotely desirable in the Legendary tier and added 200 gem prices to that normally 100 gem bracket as well.
This whole crate season feels like another knee-jerk panic return to greedy form. Just when you think the game is doing so well, too. More subscribers than there have been for months, Morrowind just sold, DLC on the way. Hey guys, TIME TO GOUGE!
Really sad to see them stoop to such tactics when they seemed to have realized the flaw in the impression it gave their customers, adding gems specifically to make it right, then...
Gambling exclusive for all the most desired items. Really disappointed, guys.

When I buy a pack bundle of a certain amount there, I have at least 1 guaranteed legendary card.
I think if you buy a 15 crate pack, you should at least get 1 guaranteed Apex reward.

SGT_Wolfe101st✭✭✭✭✭Running tally from the Add-On that was created to show the drop rates since ZOS refuses to show them has all Apex mounts running at a 1.4% chance to drop and that specific mount at 0.13%. Keep in mind, there is RNG and then there is weighted RNG. These have to be so heavily weighted to not show up, no way this is just random. This puts RNG with a side of RNG. ✭Well, I had a bit of extra cash this week, so I bought 3 of the large crown crate packs. I got the regular skeleton horse in one crate, and in another crate I got the plague horse. I'm much more interested in Senche mounts, but thats ok. The fact that I got one of the three ultra special ones at all is kind of surprising. After 3 packs, I have everything I want expect that one mount, so I am done buying crates for the season.

Funny, the same thing happened to me last season. I was gunning for the Drom'Athra mount and mini, but was pleasantly surprised by the Adamant Dwarven Horse (the super exclusive one) and the Dwavern Bear. Got them both from a single 15 pack though. Of course they are - because people keep buying them. Their marketing people know their stuff; people want the shinies and will gamble for them. If they didn't, the crate rubbish would fail.
Sadly, people buying into this model will keep it flourishing.
