Post your observations here. I am really curious.
If you notice any noticeable differences in memory usage of the client, tell us too.

I mean, what do you want to hear. It is NA PTS server so that automatically makes it impossible to compare any experience with performance in crowded zones, PVP or literally anything for EU players.

As a NA player I can say that loading screens are much shorter when going into populated areas. Also fps is higher. I have not tested PVP though. For me it is a huge improvement.

Oh, right. I didn't consider the server was in the U.S., which makes sense :)

Do you think there's an improvement even with regular places? I mean I often get 15-25 seconds long loading times zoning from an interior back into the world where there are no players or NPCs whatsoever, so I'm wondering if this got better.

I wouldn't say there's a ton but there is definitely forum post out there which speak toward improvements that can be done by players client side. The majority of the player base which has done these improvements seems to have minimal impact dps wise. The primary problem is & will always be server & network performance on ZOS's end. This will always be a problem unless some decides to spend more money on the servers, not going to happen, or there is a population drop, likely.
However, a population drop will only mean they will decrease server space/capacity & it will be just as terrible once again.
The only option is for someone to buy them out & do a better job or give them tons of money & "maybe" they'll upgrade a little; although it's unlikely.

When I'm near a decently large fight in Cyrodiil my ping fluctuations are between 110 - 700
It doesn't take but maybe 5 raids worth to hit terrible lag in Cyrodiil.
There were 3 EP raids & 2 AD raids, not even entirely full 24 mans, probably around 10-15 man groups each at less than 100 people total fighting around Alessia.

There is no way to test loading times going into populated areas on the PTS since there are no populated areas.

Yeah, kinda pre-emptive. PTS isn't a control environment for performance improvements.

Well, when PTS first became available Mournhold was pretty darn crowded with template characters. Also, it was improved over prior PTS experiences.

I agree live will be the true test but I am still cautiously optimistic.

I don't think it's necessarily a server hardware problem. Rather the software that runs the game simulation is far from being optimally coded. But there's very slim chance of them doing a large rewrite :(
But it really infuriates me when I zone into a house/delve/something in the middle of nowhere, zone out, and it ALWAYS takes me 15+ seconds. There's nothing new to load whatsoever!!!

Can't give feedback about this because my live ESO is on my SSD and the PTS is on a hard drive. Game's too big yo.

    Any chance that :

    - perma FPS drop after big fights in Cyrodiil is gone ?

    - random drooling textures in cyrodiil are gone ?

We've been asking for this since the famous "lighning patch" has been implemented.

Untill it goes to the live servers there is no way to tell if the improvements are going to work there is not enough people on pts to test these changes. Other then that I did see more fps on my system.
