All recent events have proven that once you put a carrot on a stick people will flock to pvp.

IMO that's the main issue with PVP, it lacks a good carrot on a stick.

Ideas: make more PVP events more often, add different reward/incentives to different events, add meaningful goals that are achievable by the average player, add some awesome rewards to truly dedicated players.

that's not gonna cut it. competitive players are leaving this game. it's not just an incentive issue anymore it's far more severe.

i love the idea of PvP evets, but just scroll through the forums, & looks at all the post of carebares whining that there are PvP events

and while any one with the smallest amount of common sense know that these people in no way represent the community as a whole, thye are the extremley vocal minority - who are getting their own way because they throw tantrums all the time

everybody else - whatever your experience PLEASE BE MORE VOCAL!

and befor you accuse me of simply 'preaching to the converted' because any one reading this is already making their voice heard, im talking to the blody lurkers who never contribute, but whsper you in game saying 'i thought you made a reaslly good point on the forums'

Incentivise it. Put things people want in enemy keeps. Skyshards. Crafting tables for pvp kit (just a few basic sets or otherwise something unique - fill cyrodill with pvp crafters!). Make the set drops good for life outside of pvp to get the pve-ers involved. Maybe throw in some massive daedra wandering about too to keep them entertained. Give cyrodill pvp monster sets.

Let the achievements drop something better than a slightly different shade of gray paint for your armour. Why isn't there an achievement for capturing an elder scroll? Add another awesome skill on the end of the pvp skill lines (don't you dare move vigour to the bottom!). How about a skill based set like Maelstrom or the Master set that drops in pvp?

It definitely helps to keep existing pvp players, but what it really needs are new pvp'ers. It's too easy for a noob to try it, get stomped by a cp 9000's alt in full purple pvp gear and give up. In the early days it's a case of zerg or die. Get new players in and find a way to keep them there after the weekend pvp holiday event finishes.

I feel like since we all know ZOS won't speak up, I'll take the roll of the counter argument.

Sure there are things that need to be improved upon but what they/we have essentially given you is a framework.
For instance, there's a guy named Vanzan the Lizard man, I think his guild is TKE?
His guild played on AD but one day they realized DC didn't have enough players in pvp, so they re-rolled DC toons to make the factions more balanced & promote a more healthy pvp environment.
I'm not saying what they did was right or wrong, I'm saying the game overall benefited from it.
There are a lot of areas where this game gives you the ability to control things & it's up to you, the players, to get out of it what you put into it.
Calling out to other groups was mentioned. I haven't played much on console however, I was pretty sure that there was both text chat & voice chat available. Is anything stopping console players from using their terrible family pc's or laptops to setup an ESO Xbox only teamspeak or discord server? That way you're chatting & organizing but have the in game communication turned off?
    Two words: wireless headset

    GLHF

sorry but this is the typical pc player solution to resolving an xbox issue, the issue on Xbox EU is that the games population is balanced during european day time, we have a huge DC guild that is filled with mainly american players who 'nightcap' the main campaingn EVERY NIGHT

this is mentioned by the OP but you begin telling us this wonderfull story about how someone on PC once did this amazing thing... something BTW i was doing on XBOX eu bk before wrothgar was even released, its just i didnt feel the need to create a thread about it on the forums seeking the praise and adaration of complete strangers for my 'heroic sacrafice'

as you say you havent played on console

we dont need a team speak or discord to comunicate - because these features are built in to the console experience - (team speak and discord are what the PC peasants have to use to try and enmulate our experience)

3 letters in reply to your two words w, t & of course F, how would a wireless headset improve the PvP experience? when i can just connect my turtle beach to my controller!

I just now checked this thread..
    Many posts ( including my own ) tldr;
But I'll try to address what my points were..

    1) wireless headset
What I suggested was using a family computer to communicate with discord and maybe that computer is in another room a wireless headset would solve the problem of being able to communicate even though the PC is not in the same room as the Xbox.
Of course I know it's already built in but based on what I've seen from Xbox streamers, it seems terrible because you have 1 million people trying to talk at the same time; maybe this is tunable so you can only hear your group instead?

    2) do you seriously think NA servers haven't had the exact same issue for a longer duration of time than console players? Of course we've had to deal with players on factions from all over the world "night capping"!
My point is that guilds need to figure out what days or times are pop locked on certain factions and schedule to be somewhere else, ie... more people need to have at least duel if not tri-faction toons.
And as an Fyi, I am most certainly not seeking any kind of praise or admiration as I have no affiliation with the guys I was talking about. I just wanted to tell the console players how the PC crew seemed to handle the situation, even though it's a rather obvious solution. But if it worked out for us it should work out for you guys as well so stop complaining on the forms, unless there are actual complaints to be made, and start rolling new toons.

You want people to do content you increase the rewards.

For instance people are complaining about the the lanes currently being used but that's because players themselves whined whenever they removed those types of things (Horse simulator 2000 for example)

They could increase people going to other area's by increasing the AP gained there and improving Drop Rates and adding special motifs and such.

But will they actually do it..unknown...But the way to increase the playerbase has always been more reward.
