Transmutation change?

So as of right now the transmutation system looks really nice feature. I have an issue with how it function when it comes to one hand and shield and dual wield users. Since these weapons have to be paired with a partner, why not cut the cost of maces, axes, shields, swords, and daggers to half that of bow and other 2 handed weapons?

That's not a terrible idea since they do have to go through two layers of rng to get their weapons.

Sure right after 2handers get counted as 2 for set bonuses. Lol

I think this is a reasonable suggestion, especially since the traits are only half strength per weapon anyway.

Since each slot carries with it a full set bonus I don't see the argument holds much water.

It's really just the opposite argument if those who want two set bonus in a 2H weapon.

We're talking about traits, not set bonuses. Whether you had a BiS trait weapon or not, you'd still get the same set bonuses. It's apples vs oranges.

we should look at it from all directions, traits, set completion, and enchants. If not 1/2 the cost maybe 2/3 or 3/4? All of this should be discussed. The ultimate solution and idea of transmutation system is help with the grind. Why have to grind another 40 transgems? I think this is more important based on master, maelstrom and asylum weapons where you are complete a set.

Perhaps, but then if we solely look at the 1h vs 2h and transmutating the OP implies that a 1h is half as good as a 2h and thus shouldn't cost as much. Which is then countered by the argument that they still offer 1 set bonus, the same as a 2h.
