Should we be able to rearrange character on login screen?

I haven't found a way to do it. Please tell me if there is! I know it's a minor issue but annoying nonetheless. I don't like having mules in between characters that I play on character selection screen

You can't, and its been said before but there's something 'technically complex' about offering it, so its a no.

The devs have said its something they'd like to offer but no confirmation that it is coming soon...AFAIK

I suffer this across two accounts. Being able to rearrange character order would be quite wondrous.

I have to say though even for me it's a pretty low priority.

I think there are matters more important the devs have to attend to (bugfixes,..)

I kind of like how it reminds me of the order which i created all my characters...woukd be nice though to group my characters by class or alliance...

Its a GUI. You click on an area, and it sends a load file request to the server. How can this be complex? Does it matter if the load request is in the 4th position or the 8th position, it's asking for the same file load?

If it was all that complex, then anyone who deleted and created new characters would have issues, wouldn't they?

Thank you for this. Also, I actually deleted two characters precisely to rearrange my character roster. It was acceptable because they were just mules with only horse trained up to maybe 40~60 in one stat. My first 6 characters are now leveled characters and I have 2 more leveled characters mixed in with mules and noobs

I honestly don't see the point. Even back when I played another game with a lot of characters, it really wasn't much effort to scroll down...

I would rather see efforts used for other enhancements.

human beings like to sort things by nature, by heirarchy and order- it allows things to be pleasing when we are comprehending them, its why forks are on the left and knives on the right, why we like to sort even when not necessary in our down time. not allowing us to arrange our characters is annoying, further- the backdrops should have a correlation to where the players are in actual time.

If I could move my Mules down to the bottom of the list, I would not need to scroll.....

So I did this. I deleted a character (1 of 2) because it wasn't my main warden and it was sitting unused but first.

Then I found I wanted to play that sorceror so I was able to have him restored. And he moved right back to 1st place above my main warden.

Suffice to say his second run was even shorter lived...

It's a list. The devs are telling us they can't let us sort a list? Sounds to me they're just making excuses to avoid doing something they couldn't be bothered with.

It's not a huge necessity but i'd welcome it as a nice little extra feature if they figured a way to add it.

I'd honestly prefer more background options behind our characters on the select screen besides the 3 alliance choices.

If I used words I use irl to describe how I feel about not having an option to rearrange out chars in main menu, I would be seen as racist, sexist, bigot, anti-semite and possibly something worse. Please, Zos, do add this QoL to ESO.
