Right now I hit around 20k dps on a parse. I am wearing 5 juli 5 necro and using dual lightning staves. How can I get a higher number?

Your already playing the easiest class in the game, you should be able to do 25k with no issue, 20k means your doing something laughably wrong

What Danksta said. Also - on a dps parse a huge percentage of your damage will be HOW you execute your rotation. How good are your weaves, DoT uptimes, etc.

DPS mostly depends on your rotation. Changing your gear won't help anything.

See what parse you get if you find someone else to keep ele drain on skeleton for you. I am willing to bet your dps will go up.

You should drop your DoT's earlier. Liquid Lightening, Blockcade should come before Shock Clench. I would even put Surge up before any attack.

If you're not in an optimized group running all kinds of debuffs you'll want to run Lover mundus. I use lover for the sake of testing. You should have Daedric Curse morphed to Daedric Prey to boost that pet damage. I personally like Meteor on my front bar for the extra magicka. Rotation should look something like: Liquid Lightning, Blockade, Familiar, Prey/Curse, bar swap, Clench, Heavy attack, repeat. Makes sure you're weaving light attacks before every skill. When you get your timing down on your weaving it's basically free damage, plus you're proccing weapon enchantments and building ultimate.

I personally don't use this rotation but I imagine you're best off running all spell damage enchantments and blue max health/max magicka food. I'd switch your CPs around to 75 arcanist and 100 tenacity since you have a heavy attack built into your rotation. I think 45 points into spell erosion with lover mundus (all divines) and major breach will put you to the penetration cap (~18.2k IIRC).

If you're only hitting 20k I'd say you're definitely missing light attack weaves. I can't stress enough how important weaving is. Even if you need to slow down your rotation to make sure they fire then do it, then as you get more comfortable speed it up bit by bit. DPS is about getting into a rhythm with your weaving, not pushing buttons as fast as you can.

Are you using spell power pots with Major Prophecy (Spell Crit buff)? Are your weapons gold? What trait and enchant on your weapons?

Yes I am using spell power pots and I have both infused staves with shock enchants. One staff is blue(upgrading soon) and the other is purple

If you get in the habit of LA or MA weaving, then Weapon/Spell Damage enchants would be much better.

If you just want to get a higher target dummy parse that doesn't actually reflect realistic combat, just slot Lightning Blockade instead of fire and use the Lover mundus instead of Apprentice. This will cheese your parse so that you will have buffs and debuffs normally confined to group play in your solo parse. If you are unsure about what gear, cp allocation, and rotation to use I'd check out http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/noss-highly-improbable-but-possibly-workable-sorc-build/ for a top tier build.

couple easy fixes would be:

get medicinal use passive & spell power pots

better rotation would be

LA- LL - LA - BLOCKADE - LA - PET - LA - DAEDRIC PREY - HA - REPEAT

dump ultimates when ready and apply ele drain every 2 cycles

pretty sure your dps would go up if you drop clench and keep rotation super simple. add inner light on main bar for more magicka and crit

edit: your staves not being gold probably is causing a huge drop in dps also
