Build Idea: Trolls don't die

Want a tank that will not die???

Try this crazy one's newest build:

Troll King + Orgnum's Scales + Beekeeper

This works ideally with a Khajiit or Nord Dragonknight

May work on other classes as well.

Be sure to have your set in all sturdy with 100 into Shadow Ward, and as much as you want in other champion points

oh and have the steed as your mundus stone

all this equates to having a basic 3000 health recovery, with it going up to 7500 health recovery.

If you want to be a vampire for that damage reduction below 50% sure, but you will lose out on that health recovery we've built up...

With this build

THOU SHALT NOT DIE!!!!
Gan Xing - Crafting Nightblade
Elrana Tinuviel - Hybrid Dragonknight
Elentári Peregrine - Sorcerer "bank"
Rán Xīng - Hybrid Templar
Laurïsil Imlachwen - Stamina Templar
Helotë Tinuviel - Hybrid/Magicka Warden
Odin banker - obv banker
Yan of the Red Mountain - lvl 3 DK - not sure when I will work on em

Seeks the unusual and unique playstyles...

    I have a Nord dragonknight. :)
I gave him a couple of armor sets that were all health-oriented, because I was trying to turn him into my first tank. I tried him out on some overland world bosses, because I didn't want to bring him into a dungeon until I tested him. Good thing I tested him. He ran out of stamina so fast it was ridiculous.
I had to change his jewelry into stamina-regen stuff. Now he's workable, but I'm still going to have to tweak his build a bit more to get him perfect.

Now minor and major defile also reduces health recovery.

Pre hotr patch it was definately worth!

No cap, but since HP-regen is debuffed by major/minor defile these days a HP-regen build isn´t as strong as they used to be. And this setup OP posts is "very old" and probably the reason why ZOS changed so that HP-regen get´s affected by defile-debuffs.

Oh and OP, you might want to add Lingering HP pots to that, just to boost the HP regen a little extra. ;)

Yea I can definitely see this being killed off easy with some high debuff builds with Major and Minor Defile and tons of points into befouled. The other type of Troll tank, that spends all of their points, armors and skills to debuff would be a troll troller towards this type of build. Fasallas+any of the many sources of Major Defile, with 100p into Befouled and you would get Major Defile to be 46% and Minor Defile would be 23% giving you a nice 69% debuff to your health recovery and healing received. In non CP of course it would be only 45%.

I also forgot to mention the Siphoner CP tree also reduces healing recovery. 15% at 100p, though I am not sure if this is further buffed by Befoul, would be pretty devastating if it was. If it was then with 100p into both and Major and Minor Defile it would be 92% less healing received and health recovery. If it does not get buffed by it its still 84% less. Which is huge.

From what I heard, a lot of people don't like Siphoner cp tree, but thanks for the discussion, it's always interesting to see how old something like this is

    @SydneyGrey

I have a 52K Health Tank, that generates ultimate like a popcorn popper. I could have more health, but I wanted 17K Stamina and 17K Magic too. If I spam skills I will run out of resources. But, since most of my Buffs/Shields are either 39 Seconds or 20/23 seconds in duration and I only have to taunt every 10 or so seconds, I can manage my resources. Being a tank means not spamming skills but applying them as needed. The hardest part for me was learning restraint on skill application. I also don't perma block but try to time most of them. Use Heavy Attacks on the boss while waiting around to activate the skills in my rotation and that keeps the pools filled.

    No resource issues.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

For PvP or Pve? Either way, you might be hard to kill but you're utterly pointless.

In PvP people will just ignore you. In Pve you're doing nothing for your group.

Also, nightblade would work better. 15% health regen without having to slot skills.

Honestly, you're better off with block cost reduction and magica regen glyphs. You gain 0 stamina when blocking, so Stam recovery is pointless. Block cost reduction means you run out of Stam a lot slower. Also, outside of blocking, Pierce armor and heroic slash, you don't use stamina.

Magica is what you use for skills. Talons, chains, volatile armor, dragon blood and most importantly igneous shield. The latter firstly give some Stam back. Secondly, gives you ultimate (which helps your group and gives you resources back). Thirsly, with a decent amount of health, the shield is a nice size for you to drop block and get a heavy attack off without taking much damage. Heavy attacks is where you get your stamina back.

My last dk tank for instance had 41k health, 18k magica and Stam, 650 Stam recovery but 2k magica regen. I could tank every veteran dungeon (not tried the new ones with it as my gear is on my warden) without a healer with no issues.
