So animation cancelling is still a really big thing, and PVE Endgame raiding is...that bad? Far different answers than what the others gave but you gave much greater descriptions that I gotta believe it.
Huh.......I see.....really kinda a bummer then. Hmm -_-...
My game rating:
Role-playing: 12/10
This game is absolut great for casual players and people who just want to solo quest. It has alot of things to do overland that can easily be soloed.
PVE: 2/10
No progression, sloppy combat(heavy attack spam), alot of bugs, no communication of devs what they plan to change in the future just ever 6 month alot of changes
PVP: 3/10
No progression, no really objects to fight for, alot of bad balance changes with all patches, not really rewarding good players, no communication of devs what they plan to change in the future just ever 6 month alot of changes, bugs will never be fixed

Yea, I feel like it is. I haven't raided in something like 3 months. I just hate the new fully charged heavy thing. Every time I try it I hate it a little more. It's a very visceral and emotional thing for me. I am having trouble enjoying the good parts of the game sometimes because of how strongly I feel about the basic combat mechanics now. 2 of the 3 raid guilds I was in at the time of morrowind don't raid anymore and the few players from there both still in the game and still raiding had to coalesce into one, less active, raid guild. A lot of former raiders I see around tell me they are just doing causal stuff and PvP. More people than I thought seem to have said *** it to adapting to the new basic meta and either quit all together or just quit raiding. Hell, Deltia quit.My game rating:

I might rate PVP a little better than this on the grounds that I actually like a lot of the balance changes (particularly the end of Wrobel's beloved AOE caps.) It does suffer from the other issues you mention as well as a massive cheat engine problem though. I do think PVP is better than at most times in the past.
You are right about the role-playing though. It is great for casual questing and, since you can now group well while doing this, that is ESO's big selling point.
If you do decide to come back and try it for a bit I would say to slap on some decent purple gear you can buy for less than 2k gold a peice, do some questing and maybe some PVP and just pretend that there is no such thing as a raid. I would also make sure you actually like the thing before you spend money on the new content.

PSO2 id sure be playing it, but oh boy did SEGA screw up, as usual. And no, 70 percent english translation does not equate to an enjoyable 100 percent, no no no. Then the one mmo id drop everything for? Well, its also a Square Enix mmo, its partially developed alongside the most treasured man in all of Japan since the franchise is worshiped like God there. But will it see a release outside Japan and China? Probably not, unless the reason Yoshida FFXIVs main director/producer who is trying to find someone to take over for him, is doing so to go to that other mmo, to localize it for us, since he knows how to handle, us.
Anyway far off track. I been on and off ESO since well, its beta. When the game was a horribly, mutated, disfigured, ugly duckling, to what people now say its become a somewhat unmutated swan, save for maybe that third eyeball its got. I play a Dragon Knight, as a Tank usually. So gonna ask a few questions, separately, make it easier for people to answer really, yay one two and three!
1. Optimization gotten any better? When I have finished building my 7700k OC, 4366 Mhz G.Skill Tridentz 16GB Ram, 1080 GTX TI Asus Strix, Maximus Apex IX Mobo, 10G Asus Shielded Network Card with 960 Evo m.2s SSDs, am I still gonna lag in places even on 1920 by 1080? Am I gonna lag going 4k? Would I lag if I use that new 35 inch ultra curve G Sync monitor that Asus is coming out with around Christmas? Hell may not use that monitor and will use my 60 inch SUHD Samsung 4k TV. Dunno, have not decided yet, though playing a mmo from the comfort of my recliner on a 60 inch sounds reeeeeaaaaallllllyyyyy good.
2. Class balancing in PVP still out the window? Or is it still messed up via Armor or other hilariously bad design?
3. Animation cancelling still a deciding factor in everything? Or was it nerfed any in some form or another? Animation Cancelling was what caused my gf to quit. Me? Eh, I learned to use it, created intricate macros to utilize it, felt cheap, felt flat, felt bad, but gotta adapt to what a game throws at ya.
4. How does that One Tamriel system work now? Is Silver and Gold just gone? How does it all work now regarding where to go and what to really do these days?
5. Is getting gear thru saving up gold and buying em more feasible now? Like if I had over 1M gold saved up, I could get a excellent set of equipment to be able to do things in? Or would I have to run constant dungeons to get that one piece I really really really need to complete a specialized set for Tank? For PVP? For DPS? etc.
6. Is Vampire and Werewolf still ultimately required for DK tank builds? Last time I had to go Vampire for my build.....god I hated that. Had to get a full suit of covering armor or a cosmetic for it, otherwise gf complained on my chars looks. Shes one to talk, she becomes a fur beasty whenever she hits the ult.
7. What is the current meta DK Tank builds now? Magicka? Stamina? Both?
8. Current Champion point maximum? Was it changed at all?
Yea thats all I got. Thanks for answering, thanks if you answer but answer in troll speak, thanks for answering if its just one or two words like lulz or Dis will be guud, or Getting popcorn. But generally thanks for taking the time to read this and post!
Most responses in regards to question #6 are missing the mark. Vampire is pretty much required for a DK in PvP.
Mist Form (as I have been resisting) is the DK's (& Templar's) universal answer to game's spam-able crowd control skills.

You should check out dark and light. And I agree. Ashes of Creation feels like it's gonna be another No Man's Sky. Lol
True, think it was word or warcraft who was the other game who had it. Think wow was worse in that you could not give bound gear to alts.Until they unbind the items to account, or make them properly collectible, this game will die off. No game has survived the insta bind to account items.
You have just heard a couple opinions from users. Hardly what the game really looks like. You have no other option but to try the game for yourself and check if you enjoy it, there isn't really any other way.Alexandrious wrote: »Well thanks for the honest answers everyone. Gonna have to give it some thought before I decide to really come back to this, or just play a buncha non mmorpg games until whatever next good mmo comes out.
Honestly really disappointed in Zenimax. Really thought they would improve things alot more than this after all this time.
