1 performance on high end pc is good, far better than on launch, during the pvp event I had no lag at all running in zerg on population locked campans. your setup is better than mine for gaming, watch your memory use however ESO can eat more than 8GB and cache helps.TelvanniWizard wrote: »1. Optimization might be better, but still you´ll find lots of lag in Cyrodiil, and sometimes in other regions. It seems to me that now you´re using a quite powerfull machine (at least better than mine ) so you shouldn´t have many problems.
2. PvP is more or less balanced. You still see plenty of magsorcs.
3. Animation cancelling is the same as always. But I don´t think it is neccesary nor mandatory for hard content.
4. In One Tamriel you can just go to every region when you want. To do those regions main alliance quests you´ll need to end main quest to gain access to Caldwell´s silver and gold. Once you´ve completed silver you may start gold.
5. If you´re rich enough you can buy everything.
6. I´m afraid I don´t know. Never had a DK. But I think that they aren´t. There are plenty other ults (like weapons ones or the fighters guild one) that seem useful and powerful enough.
7. Same as n.6. Sorry, don´t have DKs.
8. I think it´s 630.
Hope I could help. Sorry if I made mistakes. And sorry for the sure lenguage mistakes. English is not my natiive lenguage.

If you ever care about end game pvp I would ditch your fancy PC and play on console to escape the macro meta.

That's a whole other ball game
The better question is do you have a better alternative? If you do could you post it? ESO combat is still pretty dam good. The RNG killed a lot of people the last year, they are addressing it finally with transmution but the damage has been done.
Many in my guilds are here until a newer MMO drops to get in early when the PVP is good, like it used to be in ESO.
Certainly if you already own the game and arent playing anything else no reason not to play ESO. ITs a good game.

Where did you see that Yoshi-P is looking to find someone to take over from him? That's a surprise.....link please if you have it !

Anyway far off track. I been on and off ESO since well, its beta. When the game was a horribly, mutated, disfigured, ugly duckling, to what people now say its become a somewhat unmutated swan, save for maybe that third eyeball its got. I play a Dragon Knight, as a Tank usually. So gonna ask a few questions, separately, make it easier for people to answer really, yay one two and three!
1. Optimization gotten any better? When I have finished building my 7700k OC, 4366 Mhz G.Skill Tridentz 16GB Ram, 1080 GTX TI Asus Strix, Maximus Apex IX Mobo, 10G Asus Shielded Network Card with 960 Evo m.2s SSDs, am I still gonna lag in places even on 1920 by 1080? Am I gonna lag going 4k? Would I lag if I use that new 35 inch ultra curve G Sync monitor that Asus is coming out with around Christmas? Hell may not use that monitor and will use my 60 inch SUHD Samsung 4k TV. Dunno, have not decided yet, though playing a mmo from the comfort of my recliner on a 60 inch sounds reeeeeaaaaallllllyyyyy good.
2. Class balancing in PVP still out the window? Or is it still messed up via Armor or other hilariously bad design?
3. Animation cancelling still a deciding factor in everything? Or was it nerfed any in some form or another? Animation Cancelling was what caused my gf to quit. Me? Eh, I learned to use it, created intricate macros to utilize it, felt cheap, felt flat, felt bad, but gotta adapt to what a game throws at ya.
4. How does that One Tamriel system work now? Is Silver and Gold just gone? How does it all work now regarding where to go and what to really do these days?
5. Is getting gear thru saving up gold and buying em more feasible now? Like if I had over 1M gold saved up, I could get a excellent set of equipment to be able to do things in? Or would I have to run constant dungeons to get that one piece I really really really need to complete a specialized set for Tank? For PVP? For DPS? etc.
6. Is Vampire and Werewolf still ultimately required for DK tank builds? Last time I had to go Vampire for my build.....god I hated that. Had to get a full suit of covering armor or a cosmetic for it, otherwise gf complained on my chars looks. Shes one to talk, she becomes a fur beasty whenever she hits the ult.
7. What is the current meta DK Tank builds now? Magicka? Stamina? Both?
8. Current Champion point maximum? Was it changed at all?
Yea thats all I got. Thanks for answering, thanks if you answer but answer in troll speak, thanks for answering if its just one or two words like lulz or Dis will be guud, or Getting popcorn. But generally thanks for taking the time to read this and post!

That's because they've become simply overshadowed.
The setup, is the same as it allways was, but generally speaking? Alot of theorycrafters have -left-.
Though, if you wanted to buy the expac, Warden tank seems to have alot of resource regen and group support and self healing.

Warden Tank huh. Hmm...

God I hope you won't lag with that. I do fine with a much lesser rig.
3. Class balancing in PVP still out the window? Or is it still messed up via Armor or other hilariously bad design?
Whenever people say class balance in PVP I am not sure how to respond. PvP solo, PvP large group, PvP small group, Dueling? It is not all DK's anymore if that is what you want to know. Different classes and builds are better for different things, some skills and combinations are OP and some are weaksauce
This is much worse. Now there is a mix of light cancels and full heavies required in a rotation with a full heavy being 1.7 seconds but having a 2.2 second animation. It is very bad. Combat is very clunky as a result and if you are just .1 second shy on that full heavy you loose 5k damage, get no resources back. It is also relatively hard to learn. It is bad, probably more than half the raid community quit. Weekly leaderboards do not fill.
5. How does that One Tamriel system work now? Is Silver and Gold just gone? How does it all work now regarding where to go and what to really do these days?
One Tamriel is great. You can quest with a buddy at any level anywhere. You can do zones in whatever order you want as well. Basically it works by all content being max level and you being scaled up if you are not. The game should have been this way at launch. It would have done much better.
6. Is getting gear thru saving up gold and buying em more feasible now? Like if I had over 1M gold saved up, I could get a excellent set of equipment to be able to do things in? Or would I have to run constant dungeons to get that one piece I really really really need to complete a specialized set for Tank? For PVP? For DPS? etc.
I see gear as much flatter now. Many sets are very close to each other in performance. There is some more specialized gear in PVP and some group buff gears sets for raids that are the exception. A raid tank is in these exceptions though. You will be wearing group buff sets and will need to acquire them. Some of this is easy to acquire, others less so.
No for PVE tanking. PVP seems to be mostly vampires in general.
8. What is the current meta DK Tank builds now? Magicka? Stamina? Both?
Watch the badasses videos for this. I don't know enough about tanking to be much help with how the specifically put together a build
9. Current Champion point maximum? Was it changed at all?
660 I think. I have 1,111 so I don't pay much attention. It has increased 30 every new content. They also just redid the whole thing and they are both far more front loaded and matter a little less than they did. They are so front loaded that the whole last 25 in something are worth I think 1%.
Yea thats all I got. Thanks for answering, thanks if you answer but answer in troll speak, thanks for answering if its just one or two words like lulz or Dis will be guud, or Getting popcorn. But generally thanks for taking the time to read this and post!
My advice, if you want to come back for PVP or to solo quest you might try a bit. Though you should know that third party cheat engine software is common in PVP, is frustrating, and ZOS doesn't seem to give a rats about this. If you are looking for endgame PVE don't bother as you will hate the combat, especially if you didn't like weaving before. You will also find tanking much harder as the resource management is actually challenging now. Maybe you dislike that, maybe it is an incentive, not sure. I think is is a pretty good solo game or game to sort of light duty quest with a friend or loved one in. ZOS does not seem to be able to actually manage an MMO though.
