Games like GW2 allow you to buy gold with cash, so it's really not a big deal (as long as you can't buy gameplay-breaking things with gold). I never understood the appeal though. Part of the fun of playing an MMO is getting rich by learning the economy.

That's the reason there are no goldsellers in this game because their gold prices wouldn't be competitive with ZOS own sales.
Or am I wrong?

who can't get a real job, live in a basement that is probably their parents, and have no life since they grind on the game 12 to 16 hours a day. They are not sophisticated players, they know some grind spots or can run some macros.
In short, they are scum who ruin the game for everyone who plays legitimately, and make the game less than it can be for lazy slobs who have more money than sense, probably because they still use mommy's credit card.
In case your wondering I hate gold sellers. And gold buyers are even worse.
Erm... did you just admit to selling in game services for this game on its forums.Yeah it's awesome made enough to get Destiny 100€ bundle in 2 days, selling runs tho not gold.
My guild is already making groups to carry through Clockwork City for 50€
That's how gaming is nowadays, everything is for sale.
lesson to be learned here:
be careful whom your "friends" are - they may be inclined to rat you out...

I hope your guild mates you ratted on feel the same way if ZOS noticed and take action here.Erm... did you just admit to selling in game services for this game on its forums.Yeah it's awesome made enough to get Destiny 100€ bundle in 2 days, selling runs tho not gold.

Yup, this game is dead anyways so a 72h ban is not gonna change my life
I also think that there is no way to "prove" someone is buying gold with real money unless they told you themselves.
Selling gold at least is a perma-ban from my knowledge. I have one friend I like to still make fun of for that one.Giles.floydub17_ESO wrote: »I also think that there is no way to "prove" someone is buying gold with real money unless they told you themselves.
There is and players get banned from games as a result. ofc an ESO ban means merely days from the game. I am not sure if anyone takes Zos seriously, but Zos still can and also would remove their gold that was purchased.
Zos can tell what is in your inventory, how you received it and what was done with it.
