Definition:
Bots will typically be external programs, they run in their own process and affect the client in ways not intended.
Add-Ons use the APIs that ZOS has presented, in the Lua scripting language. They[s][/s]
run inside of the client. What they can actually achieve is limited by ZOS so that it doesn't, in their mind, affect the game experience in a detrimental way.
The majority of add-ons will be focused on providing the user more information as opposed to automation of 'bots'.

Solution? It doesn't seem like banning thes accounts is having any effect on the sheer number of botters. Your free to complain about them till your fingers are hoarse, but if they actually bother players enough that a search shows a cornucopia of threads on it, switch to console. I can't speak for Xbox, but I can say the rubber band crew on PS4 is likely .0000001% of what you see on PC.
Side note: Xbox is almost stupidly easy to upload 3rd party add-ons. PS4, not so much.
I guarantee it's the PC purists that hail this as the 3rd stupidest post of all time. And I'm completely not bothered by it.
TL DR: You hate bots so much to post all the time? Go to console. Otherwise, enough about it. ZOS can't ban them fast enough, and like it or not they are as much a part of the PC game now as AddOns.

incorrect. addons are still worthy to be used even if they UI is perfectly fine. and im not talking about the ability to see skyshards and books and everything else.
Simply customizing your UI to look how you want it to look is one reason.

- If addons somehow remotely had anything to do with this, things like Skyshards is effectively no different than scratching your own note on a pieces of paper, once you've found them the first time.

Many addons are simply graphical and UI enhancements that allow PC users to customize their experience. Personally I choose not to use map overlays because the thrill of exploration and discovery is a big part of the game for me, but I would never equate those who do with botters. It is not an unfair advantage, harms no one, and is not against ToS.
Map addon users are only cheating themselves, botters are cheating everyone.1 -

well you clearly do not understand the issue with bots, addons make the game easier, bring new utilities.
while bots are cheating, as they "play" and "gather resources" even if the actual player who created them is not online. and also, the gathered materials from bots then corrupt the market prices...
console without addons is something else, yes, but bots are bigger issue than using addons.
