To everyone that complains about Bots...

PC users, you have been "botting" yourselves for almost as long as the game has been out.

Skyshard/lorebook/entire map overlays, entire UI changes, buff/debuff timers, add spawn notification, easy guild store price average access and where the best current deals are etc.

You want a real ESO experience? Go to console. Closest thing to bots are people taping down buttons or rubber banding their controllers. No third party apps.

OR if you do want to continue complaining about bots, then remove all your add ons that make the game easier.

PS: I'm a console player, but am tired of seeing these threads about bots when PC users have add ons that make playing the game significantly easier.

Bots are using automative programs, most of the addons don't do that and its ok to use automative addons only for a small amount of time no where near the amount of time bots use there's.

I think people should just stop moaning about bots lol

Bots, rubber banders and bear farmers are doing what they do because it's easy. It makes that aspect of the game easier for them, more gain and smaller effort.

So in what OP suggests, I hear what you're saying. PC users use add ons, which in turn makes certain aspects of the game easier. Like it's even difficult in the first place #pclazyrace

See the recent Aetherial Dust market crash on EU servers:

A few botters decided to unload thousands of aetherial dust on the market at 30% of their market value (they are gold sellers unloading inventory). This crashed the entire market.

One reason why mats are so cheap on PC (compared to console) is because of the excessive supply created by bots.

"'Botting" or "Botters" are doing it to make millions of in-game gold and/or to sell on 3rd party "Gold Spammer Sites".
It affects the economy and as far as where Gold Spamming is involved, it's also a banable offense.
As far as a annoyance, you were not here at launch!!
Try doing a dungeon boss with 15 "Bots" programed around it and the boss dies so fast you can,t get a shot in.. Or try farming mats for your gear and 10 "Bots" are camped on the nodes and never lets it respawn.
So NO! "Botting" is not even close to comparable to using add-ons for a new UI set up or guild tools that lets me send a guild wide mail or making a more informative tool bar.
Consoles don't have add_on's but they do have "bots". It is comparing apples and oranges.

Now that I think about it, this probably takes the number two spot. Number 1 was the guy that spent thousands on crown crates, then had the nerve to say ZOS tricked him into thinking he'd win big. Number 3 was the guy that said he was going to buy the game again just to make more meaningless gag characters. Made less ridiculous by the fact the game goes for pretty cheap now, assuming he doesn't buy Morrowind again.

I mean....if I play long enough I am going to get that anyway, so I just making it easier for me with optimal gain. In fact, how about we all have "addons" or bots that pvp for us, give us unlimited health, etc because it will make the game easier; more gain for smaller effort..........

I'm delighted people are so up in arms about botters, yet still defend their multitude if add-ons.

To those who completely misunderstood the post - I NEVER said botting was okay. In fact, not even tacitly. My point was that, LIKE botters who use 3rd party programs to get an edge on the game, so do you.

Solution? It doesn't seem like banning thes accounts is having any effect on the sheer number of botters. Your free to complain about them till your fingers are hoarse, but if they actually bother players enough that a search shows a cornucopia of threads on it, switch to console. I can't speak for Xbox, but I can say the rubber band crew on PS4 is likely .0000001% of what you see on PC.

Side note: Xbox is almost stupidly easy to upload 3rd party add-ons. PS4, not so much.

I guarantee it's the PC purists that hail this as the 3rd stupidest post of all time. And I'm completely not bothered by it.

TL DR: You hate bots so much to post all the time? Go to console. Otherwise, enough about it. ZOS can't ban them fast enough, and like it or not they are as much a part of the PC game now as AddOns.

If addons = botting, could anynone make addon which gives me tons of dreugh wax every week? And btw. I'm not using addon to show me skyshard map, I'm using google so it's not botting, right?
