I saw someone with 910 CP fighting two dusteaters in Craglorn a couple of days ago... I just stood and watched as they took over 30 seconds to kill two low-level mobs that I melt in 3 seconds tops with my eyes closed (and I'm rubbish!).
People like that need all the help they can get! Take away the CP cap and give people bonus CP for being carried by their mates while grinding CP!

This sounds like me when I'm trying to load a bowl and play at the same time. Usually results in just heavy attacking as that's the only thing I can manage to do wile the other hand is occupied. I agree it would not have the same impact as it used to, to a certain degree. CP has become much less powerful in the last 2 years. Even with 3600 cp, Hiath would not be solo'd again. Regardless, the video displays a very accurate comparison between the capabilities plausibly achieved by a "normal" amount of CP and an "insanely large" amount of CP. In my opinion releasing the CP cap in ESO's current state would have a much larger impact on PVP than PVE. Either way, I made this post to show support of having the CP cap in place, and to provide a glimpse into what was possible for a couple of the best players in the world while no cap existed.1 -

Now that the max values got kicked into the dirt for the actual effective nodes, it would hardly hurt anything to uncap it so long as the passive stat gain got nixed somewhere along the line. Infistacking base stats is the only concern I'd have about uncapped CP0 -

We used to nuke Hiath in under a minute in 2015, he would either not summon 50% adds, or his 75% adds would spawn after the boss was under 50% phase already. Taking 30min to solo Hiath in tank build is just about as relevant as resto heavy attacking a boss in healer build. Cool, but pointless.
This feat was attempted by dozens of very talented players that I know, but only accomplished by a couple people in the entire world. I am sure you could have done this blindfolded with one hand though, I applaud your extreme eliteness.1 -

I personally know dozens of extremely talented players that failed miserably at trying to accomplish this feat. There is only evident proof that 2 people in the world have done it. I am not referring to random scrubs from trade guilds either. I am talking players that were dropping competitive scores for world record runs... You can join @Unfadingsilence in the fight about how "insanely easy" this feat was, he needs a partner to help him out in this thread. In all honesty though, neither of you really have any credibility towards incredibly difficult end game achievements like this. Gaining stamina while blocking was a normal mechanic for a very long time in this game. Interesting thing about that, is a large amount of other extremely talented players failed attempting this feat, even while using block + regen... That should really point out how hard this was, only 2 people in the world have accomplished this feat, both using block + regen when needed. Obviously it would have been impossible without that mechanic.0 -

This little 12 year old though, wow, it is the reason I don't play on console, way too many kids screaming down the mic thinking they are best and acting like a keyboard warrior (or a gamepad warrior? meh same thing). I guess the parents are to blame here though, just basically buying whatever game their entitled little brat wants.
It's ok, I am sure his mummy or daddy will comfort him when he is crying saying people are being meanies, I mean, that is one of the reasons most of the games lost dedicated servers, parents reporting that their child got kicked/banned from a server of an 18 rated game, great logic, right? lol.
In the meantime we can all be rest assured that he truly made a complete fool of himself, made a good giggle read on my lunch break that is for sure. For that OP I thank you, was interesting to see what the game was like before I started playing, never really looked into it and it also brought out some Ogrims of the community for a good giggle.
Back on topic, in a way, I am glad I didn't start playing this game until this year, I bought it when TU was released but just didn't install, imperial edition was on deal for like £16 so I grabbed it.1 -
