Do you like using group finder?

I voted yes because i am WAY too lazy to chat for groups and i think its silly to whine about cp on easy dungeons.

Of course i do get the odd tank who doesnt have a taunt, or a 200cp that rages at the tank for not tanking on planar inhibitor... or a 40cp in veteran bloodroot forge... But then i can form my own group on those dungeons or try to help people if its an easy run.

Im glad its actually working now.

I don't mind it. I just wish queuing as DPS was much faster.

I used to pug pretty regularly when I had a ton of playtime and didn't mind an occasional failed dungeon. Now my playtime is more limited, and I'm not inclined to risk RNG teammates.

i voted other simply because i dont like using group finder but im not opposed to it either.

Use lfg every day for vet dungeons. if you queue as tank or healer its almost instant depending on what dungeon your look for. for dps its usually a 10-15 minute wait (on xbox).

i would say probably 90% of the time the group is able to fly through the dungeon and complete it relatively easy. if group fails, usually its just one member holding you back and once they are replaced, it goes alot smoother.

the worst ones to group for are dlc dungeons for sure. and the most annoying thing is using group finder for normal wgt as tank or healer and getting paired with 3 sub lvl 50s. i usually just leave party and have to wait the 12 minute queue timer.

For some reasons i have no regular team for Undaunted dailys, so group finder is the only way for me to level this line.

If you do mage, fighter and undaunted (not pledge) you can also level up undaunted line. If you are really clever might be possible to do it in a day if you get people to share quest.

I don't mind the group finder....granted, I usually queue with a degree of apprehension, but it usually works out.

The Darkshade 2 (normal) was an unmitigated disaster though...but that's probably due to half the group being sub l50, and the other CP player was in the early 100s, if that.

Eh...when blind queuing, you get what you get. Even if that's an unexpected Vet run because you weren't paying attention when selecting the dungeon <_< >_>

It's a great place to practice my healing. Because no one stands still. So I'm figuring out how to anticipate where the tank will run to next to lay down my healing springs. Plus trying to keep people who stand in the red alive is good practice too.

    I enjoy the challenge.

I like the group finder overall. If I get a good group, then we get quick undaunted keys. If it's a bad group, I now have random people to ridicule or boot or whatever awful thing I feel like doing to them.

The only downside is the 15 minute timer for when I don't feel like dealing with stupid people.

As a low level its nice to get carried through. As a high level to nice to return the favour.

So yeah I quite like it, very rarely have bad experiences. It's pretty hard to do badly in a normal dungeon.

I actually used to use this, but have given up entirely since it makes my game freeze (for about 3-4 seconds), every 15 seconds, like clockwork. As soon as I get out of the queue, the games stops freezing.....like clockwork. I'm on Xbox, NA.

In terms of dungeons with PUGs....it is what is. Like everyone else, I have stories that are awful, and stories where we leveled the place. I just accept it as that.

Yes. I haven't had any issues with it since they fixed it.

Base game dungeons are all easily PUGable, so no issues completing stuff either.

    No.

    Not just no... HELL no.

So many issues with it that should have been identified and addressed two years ago, minimum.

First of all, you can queue indefinitely. You'll be in the queue for a random or daily pledge dungeon for an hour, dequeue, requeue, and get into a dungeon within two minutes. That's broken.

Second, you can get shoved into a group everyone is leaving -- "find a replacement" should be a group decision so that the person who enters the group doesn't get screwed when everyone immediately drops.

Third, if you're unfortunate enough to get into a group that is crap, so you drop the group and requeue, the stupid group finder should NOT immediately put you back into the exact same group. That's not just stupid, it's ridiculous. It's safe to assume a player left the group for a reason in the first place, is it not?

Fourth, I cannot count how many times I've left a dungeon only to be kicked to an infinite loading screen from a group. I'm sitting at one RIGHT NOW. Just stalling with this post before I have to forcibly quit the client.

Fifth, if I had a dollar for every "jump failed" message, my ESO+ sub would be paid for a year.

And finally, there is no difficulty ranking for dungeons, which means the group finder will put a cp50 into a group doing veteran DLC dungeons who has no business wasting everyone else's time.

At the end of the day, the group finder is not the least bit convenient or beneficial for players. It's barely working well enough to justify calling it a group-finder. It's more appropriate to call it a time-waster.

Just had to explain all my group (they were around 30) how to block and interrupt. We were in CoS. Of course you get all the low levels in the DLC dungeons. I carried them as a pure tank, so they had to do the damage, was really slow but I like the challenge. (lately thinking about to transform my pure tank to stam tank to pull some damage because DPS classes are damn lazy)

Please make some unskippable tutorial how to interrupt and block. Too many maxed chars running around without the basic knowledge. Better don't talk about new players.

I queued for a normal dungeon recently, and was thrown into a vet dungeon. I'm 100% sure I'd requested a normal one, because I double-checked it. This has happened to me twice. Something is pretty broken about that.

Well It was terrible when I tried to use it as a DPS particularly for a non pleadge dungeon I just needed to farm for gear.

I have had better expereiences now I have made a Tank character. Instant queues and all. It does annoy me a bit when people rush on ahead or don't let me set up and buff up before the boss, let me start the thing when i am ready I am the tank! Also I got dropped int he middle of a dungeon a couple of times and that is useless because I am doing pleadges I don't get the pleadge if I get dropped into the middle, like what the hell?, then I have to queue up again.

The worst thing is also trying to do dungeons you haven't done before, now I am sensible and queue for normals in that case, but people are always rushing normals. But there is all this quest and lore and interesting stuff I want to read and learn about but I never can because I am getting pulled along. I have been playing more than a year and I have never done a bunch of dungeons because my DPS can't get a group and I don't use my tank for anything other than pleadges.

I actually use it for daily pleges and to get my Slayer Achievements done (gladly I have almost all speed and no death runs on my chars already).

I usually use the LFG tool when I queue up as a tank. To be honest, you don't get always a guild group running at the very moment when only you want to run a pledge or instance. In addition asking around on TS 3 or in guild chat (typing) is involved. When I queue up as a tank I have my group running with two mouse clicks within a minute, so the decision just depends on personal lazyness.

I don't mind it, If I am queuing as DPS i don't care how bad my group is since I can just solo the dungeon and leave. I wouldn't pug vet dungeons though, waste of time usually.

I have been fortunate enough to always have guildies around when I wanted to do dungeons so have never used the grouping tool unless we already had a full group and just wanted the extra goodies!

I found myself giving a brand new player some advice to avoid the grouping tool then I stopped myself as I realised that I was not handing out wisdom, I was simply spitting out other people`s opinions and experiences. I opted to remedy this, I logged my healing warden and delved into the grouping tool.

I was queued as a healer so I got instantly added to groups, it was fantastic!

The tool worked perfectly and where the people it paired me with were a true mixture of skill and experience. I am looking for bits and pieces for my builds so I wanted to open chests and was called a n00b because of that but that is the result of the socially inept basement troll I got grouped with, not a fault of the tool itself.

So far it has not been bad at all, I am looking forward to continuing the experiment.

I voted for 'other' because I don't necessarily like the GF, but I use it 99.9% of the time, so I am used to being part of all sorts of groups for all sorts of dungeons. And after PUG'ing my way to farming purple amberplasm jewellery, I don't feel there's anything GF can throw at me anymore (I'm joking, GF, please be nice to me )

Maybe it would help if it was reinforced in a quest or something that was dependent on your role selected.

Maybe you have direct a group of NPCs how to kill, heal or tank enemies. You get rewarded based on how well you do? It could be titles, or maybe 1 use potion or weapon.
