It should take 3 players at max to kill a shieldstacker (for low dps builds). Shields don´t you can´t outshield even two competent players.

That´s a great proposal but they would have to rate shields by size - otherwise a random igneous could steal a lot of shield from a NB or sorc.

Other Magicka classes don't use shield breaker as it's a stamina based set, targeted for bow users. Siphoned is a joke, it doesn't go jack. Why would I run poisons as a magicka class? I've tested shattering blows. You need to dump all your points into shattering blows to be even marginally effective. You end up sacrificing points from other more needed areas. It ends up being a wash. Oblivion was nerfed and is marginally effective. One enchant isn't going to take down a sorc or negate an entire class.

Knight slayer is an option but it's to limited in utility. I think it's silly players have to run one build specifically designed to destroy sorcs while completely ineffective against all other classes. While sorcs can be effective against all classes With a wider range of armor sets.

No. One shouldn't have to invest in designing a build to destroy one class while then getting destroyed in return by all other classes. This is not balance.

I agree. For me, I don't want to wear Shieldbreaker or Knightslayer or Torug's Pact with objectively tuned CP all day just to counter a type of shield stacking opponent.

I'm not going to agree or disagree with your take on it. But it should be clear by now that fights are won against magicka toons by attacking their stam pool, not their magicka pool. This is even more relevant against mag sorcs.

Guys. Give it up. This thread is dead, the OP has already quit the game already as per his update.

You shouldn't need a 5pc set to counter a class. Oblivion damage is an OK counter, but was nerfed a wee bit and also affects everyone. Cost poisons too. (Wouldn't be surprised if they end up like vitality ones.) .The CP shattering blows is also pitiful because it doesn't counter the bastion passive. It should instead work like the siphoner passive, reducing effectiveness of the shield.

We need a shield defile or min/mag shields. What gives me a giggle is when FOTYers cry WAHHHH L2P when people say shields need a nerf. How about they L2P without spamming/stacking shields? (Hint, sorc can probably survive with streak, pets, boundless and 1 shield.)

Maybe you should care a little less and not comment at all. Because you're not contributing to the discussion.

That being said if Zeni is considering a nerf to shield stacking I hope they consider things thoroughly. Last time shields were addressed they did a blanket nerf that affected sorcerers who dont stack shields.
