The sad thing is, they just don't work.

Sure, you can go around doing quest and overland content fine. Vet dungeons and PvP though, you're hugely gimped.

As long as damage scales off max stats hybrids will always be pretty weak. Plus things like crit and penetration being low and CP being watered down. Weapon and spell damage is just one aspect of damage. The others are equally as important. There's reason people use things like necropotence and hulking draugr for max stats and sets like spinners and spriggans for penatration.

You don't need to with wardens. Both Stam and magica have good range and melee damage, great healing, mobility and a lot of great buffs. I don't see any advantage of having a staff over a bow for instance other than preference. Which is totally fine for overland stuff. Don't expect much in vet dungeons or PvP though.

I put together a hybrid Warden myself. It had like 60% weapon crit, 50% spell crit, was getting nearly 5k weapon/spell damage (with Pelinal's), had something like 30k stamina and 20k magicka.

It just doesn't work. It did half or less than half of the damage that a pure build would do. The damage model in this game will need to be completely overhauled for hybrids to ever be viable; until then, magicka will only be for buffs on stam toons, and stamina for break free, block and sprinting on mag toons. Sucks but that's the reality.

Yea, I've tried to build a hybrid dps build for Warden, and it's just not how the game work. I've only had success building a PvP "Hybrid" build as a Stamina Support Warden, and it's just because of how the skills of the Warden Work.

I have a stam warden that wears Plague Doctor (All HP), Alteration Mastery (Magika Recovery & reduction Cost of All Skills), and Blood Spawn with all my points into Stam and my enchants into Stam and HP. The only Stamina skill I use is the Mushroom heal, the rest are magika and it has worked on being a class that uses all 3 stats very well + ultimate. Stamina for Healing in negates, breaking out of immobolizes, roll dodge, sprinting, sneaking. Magika for buffs and debuffs, HP to be able to stand in high damage to use my stamina and magika skills which also syncs with Warden passives beautifully of Max HP buff, and Blood Spawn for the quick cheap ulti tree heal and the more expensive permafrost to run in sync with my bombers.

No other class can do this and it's the closest to a "Hybrid" that I could make where its magika counterpart would not outshine. It actually outshines its magika counterpart. It's not DPS though, it's strait healing/tanking/buffing/debuffing/stunning/immobilizing. You're there to make your groups effectiveness doubled to tripled with critical thinking of what to do in battle with the beast tools wardens are given.

Here's the build video and there are about 3 videos showing the build in action. I wish there could be hybrid builds as dps, I just don't see one working as good as pure when it comes to DPS form. As support/healer, the Warden is the only class that can do it because we're the only one who has access to a strong enough stamina heal for a full group, vigor is not enough, not even close.

    Hope that was helpful.
