More rewards for running dungeons

It would be nice if we had some sort of reward based incentive for running dungeons/ pledges. Maybe something similar to how tel var or AP works. After you collect a certain amount of I will just say tokens you can purchase exclusive items. Mounts, polymorphs, or whatever else that would make nice dungeon rewards. I believe this would give people that don't need keys or gear a fun reason to run dungeons.

id love to get the pvp coins for running dungeons so i could access the gold vendor and not need 500k gold, but could use tokens like the pvp players do. i hate pvp so this would be a dream for myself anyways.

Xp, gold(not alot but still), dropped sets, monster helm(on vet), undaunted key(pledges), soul gems, some dungeons drop motif pages, furnishing recipes and items from urns, motifs from urns also some people enjoy doing dungeons so there is that....

Is that not enough ?? You want more !?!?!?

Its not a terrible idea but rewards such as polymorphs, mounts or costumes would take away from crown store sales so i doubt this will ever be implemented.

    That is a neverending thing...

People would start farming them like mad, then when then have everything, complain again that there are not enough incentives to run dungeons.

I wouldn't care too much - after all, it's a "neverending" game, so it's logical that it deals with "neverending issues", but heavy farming in group instances makes people toxic. They run stuff (they're already bored with) for the rewards, seek people who can help them farm the content as quickly as possible, be come elitist, and whatnot.

People should run the dungeons for fun and for the pleasure of running with friends or both. If they do it only for the rewards, the whole thing becomes toxic. People should take a break when they're bored, rather than ask for new incentives.

    Just my opinion.

If you're chain-running dungeons with competent people and selling your loot every 5 runs or so, you can make 15-30K (depending on the luck of ornate drops) per hour. Not sure what more you need. In addtion to monster helms and all the rest.

We get skins from dungeons, we get costumes from quests, also pets and costume from public dungeons.
This is an reward for doing it once.

An sort of token system would be nice, don't need to be very rewarding more for filling holes.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

No you should not get AP for doing dungeons.

    Rewards for doing pledges?

Like keys? For a chance to get monster set shoulders.
Do vet for 2, and also get monster helms.
Do random, get bonus xp and the above, plus undaunted rewards in your mail.

    What more would you like?

    This is a good idea.

Think of Guild Wars 2. Well... think of just this one aspect of it: Dungeons rewarded a small number of tokens. There is a vendor in the main city (if you left long ago, they merged all those guys down to just one vendor) that you take the tokens to and exchange for high end gear. I think it would be the equivalent of gold gear here (I'm new here... basically, the top tier, as if it was not yet enchanted)...

It would take about 5-10 runs to get enough tokens for one piece of gear. Each dungeon had it's own kind of token (I didn't like that aspect of it). The gear is gave was equiv to a lot of gear elsewhere, but had unique looks based on the dungeon theme... so people farmed for the transmog system even if they had item-sets that were better from elsewhere (but then, no transmog system here).

    - ESO could take that model... and then do it better...

It'd be a great thing to add to the game at the same time as a transmog system.

As for how to monetize this... they sold transmog tokens in their micro-transaction-store...

    So you:
    1. Give a good reward for farming a dungeon.
    2. Couple it to some new cooler than elsewhere fashions.
    3. Sell the ability to apply that fashion to your set-gear.

Win for us and for them.

You could also just be quick and drop in costumes into each dungeon... but people won't feel a need to 'keep farming' that as long, and there's not as much opportunity to 'monetize' it as there is with a transmog system... So it wouldn't address the point of this thread, nor be something that would incentivize the developers.

The best reward from ZoS will be a token system to buy armor and weapons.
