Great opportunity to add more things like furnishings, alchemy ingredients, water mobs etc. would also love to see a better swim animation for Argonians.
Yeah I agree, I remember seeing some video after Skyrim was released where the game devs made loads of crazy ideas that wernt implemented into the game. They made some flooded dungeon and it looked epic, somthing like that in ESO with underwater puzzles would be amazing.TaintedKurse wrote: »Great opportunity to add more things like furnishings, alchemy ingredients, water mobs etc. would also love to see a better swim animation for Argonians.
It just adds a whole other dimension to the game, right now swimming just feels very bland the way it is. Like something that's impeding your adventure. I feel like it should be a part of your adventure and that diving would fix that

We have all these corals and many coastlines have been decorated but, I can't really go down and experience them
I think its a little update that could bring incredibly positive changes for all players
I know might create some issues for pvp but, you could just make it so no one can dive in Cyrodil. Or add more slaughterfish?
I really honestly hate swimming as a whole just because of the fact I can't
Its something that's just missing for me from this elder scrolls experience.
Anyone else feel the same way?

What is the point of swimming if you constantly have to keep your head above water lol. It would be cool if we had the option to dive below and farm materials, look for treasure on shipwrecks etc

that would be really awesome, and this would be great too:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQdr6h1k2Ic
Devs said some time earlier, that it is a problem for game engine in some way, but no idea why.

Agreed, theirs so much opportunity in it as a feature. Swimming currently feels so disconnected from your adventure. From dungeons, too new mats, new treasure map locations, water mounts, new viewpoints, underwater cave, delves or world bosses. There's a lot that diving could add.
To be fair because, we can't dive it doesn't even feel like i'm swimming. I usually feel trapped like I just stepped in mud more than anything.
I mean I could understand if it didn't come with all that stuff as a package but, they should at least add it as a feature so they have the opportunity to do so.
It probably can't be added for the same reason we will never have flying - the way the game is built simply doesn't support it.

I understand flying but, I would hope they could find a work around for something that's been included in every elder scrolls game to date. Its defiantly worth the time if there was anything they could do to make it work.
I'm all for adding cool content, it would be nice if the existing content functioned properly before we start adding fluff like diving

You cannot compare the single-player RPGs with an MMO. Skyrim also has functioning physics engine that we do not find in ESO, because implementing such a thing and keeping it running properly for thousands of players at once is practically impossible. Introducing diving (considering it poses the same technical difficulties as flying) would mean reworking a large part of ESOs base structure - which is an unnecessary risk I doubt they're willing to take.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hS2Ee0x7AQYou do actually have a good point and as much as i would love to see underwater content i can't see it really happening
EDIT: Didn't mean to double post =/

Lol yes Skyrim has some hilarious glitches, but still.I'd love to dive underwater in ESO, I just don't see it happening any time soon. And if they do end up investing development capacity in reworking the engine, I'd much rather see them use that capacity to look at some serious problems with certain other, more key aspects, of the game.
