Going to assume these strategies have been working well to carry these <500 cp players through all the rest of the game. They've got no clue their combat is ineffective in this environment.
The games teaching system have failed these players miserably. To my surprise, they were both stormproof.
I suppose it's possible they were bought or shared accounts. Who knows

Question? Did you, in a good way, try to help them out? If now then you are the failing training system. Go back through all the MMOs and it wasn't a system that was put in a place, or the level of difficulty it was other players that helped people learn how to play.
Even back to my earliest days in EQ. I logged in the first day and struggled to find the way out of a town, this was before minimaps and add ons. I asked out in zone chat where to go. Got like 30 helpful replies. Couple of them even grouped with me and showed me around the town where everything is. That was nearly 25 years ago and we still talk today. If I did that in a new game today...I'd be threaten my first born would be sacrificed and I'd probably be put on every single ignore list of people that saw me ask for help.
You want more people able to do content and do it correctly, people need to help teach each other and not just disband call them noobs and never do a PuG again. I got into a PuG for vWTG once, before I had ever done it. It was with 3 people from an obvious raiding guild. I had no idea what I was doing on some fights. They didn't kick me, they invited me to the chat, walked me through everything and we only had a couple more deaths after that, most of which weren't even my fault as the healer. Now I know how to do the fights and I pass that knowledge along to anybody else who needs the help in hopes they will pay it forward and increase the number of people that know how to do the dungeon.

This game is lacking any kind of tutorial and the worst thing are the tooltips that make things even more difficult for newcomers, vague as hell since there is no explanation, I remember reading them at first and getting very confused about all kind of damage like the direct one or the magic one, physical and spell resistance can be mistakenly related to shields too. There is no explanation whatsoever.
The character tab as well should be way more complete and explanatory, I had to download an addon to see my spell and physical pen, this is just ridiculous.
A sort of appendix (like an expanded glossary) would be needed in one tab where any kind of damage, how mitigation works and penetration are clearly explained along with anything else. Of course to be updated once significant changes are made.
New players must heavily rely on users personal websites and posts (having the time and the will to do so, not everyone have have the time or the will to check the forums and external websites, learning from an in-game section something about how the game works seems to me pretty logical and something that definitely should be present).
This, add another issue, low level player are only doing LA, he do normal dungeons, he get in with an lvl 40 alts with crafted sets and know how to play, an cp190 farming some set and an cp400 doing quest on his warden.ProfesseurFreder wrote: »You know what? That argument gets defeated by existence of group content. Just saying.

You know what? How about you play SOLO then where your performance doesn't matter to anyone but YOURSELF?
