I guess they are on sale maybe twice per year. No one knows when the next one will be. At least, no one that can tell us.

That's why people stock up on crowns when they go on sell. People spend lots of money when crowns go on sell. Look for crown sales soon there might be one soon for the holidays.

Nobody here is saying that they don't want to pay... they're only saying that sometimes the prices are too much. And sometimes it's not the money at all. I have plenty of money to spend but I don't agree with Zos prices, that's all.

By mistake, I started an independent thread on this subject without realizing that there was one already in progress.

My fault and I apologize for doing so (thanks ZOS_KatP mod By the slap in the back of my neck, I deserve it)

In relation to the subject:

First of all I want to make it clear that I know that it is a means of raising money from the company and that this allows the game to be profitable that in the long run ends up being a benefit for everyone, as it not only ensures that the game is still active but it can Promote the creation of new content.

I am also aware that it is not necessary to consume things from the store to play and that is optional.

Having said that, I began to share my point of view.

I think the cost of things that can be obtained in the store is a bit excessive.

I like to analyze the following way, in the store you can find products in two categories:

1- Unique benefits that once purchased are applied to the account and do not need to be re-purchased (for example, dlc, mounts, pets, cosmetics, etc)

2- Cumulative, recurrent or individual benefits that can be acquired several times, since their effect can be increased or their use is individual for each character (example: riding lessons, personal bag space, experience scrolls, re-specialization scrolls, etc.).

If prices were lower, a greater number of players would probably be able to acquire all the benefits of the first category and then they would no longer have to buy crowns, but for that is the second category, which is for individual, recurring use or cumulative and guarantees the continuity of store transactions.

As I see it, a decrease in the cost in the crown shop will not make it become inactive in the short term, on the contrary, I think it would make the store have more activity and even allow the incorporation of many players who simply do not Are attracted by the high cost of what can be achieved there.

From my personal point of view I prefer a game where more players can feel happy and have fun.

I am not interested in seeing a few happy of the exclusive that is its content, I prefer a game where a great majority can enjoy the diversity of options.

I think that many players would enjoy more of their game experience being able to access content that at current prices become unreachable or simply not attractive.

And I think with a decrease in store prices this can be achieved without ceasing to be a profitable source for the company to generate money.

As I posted here before and on your other thread I disagree. Buy them in sales for 50%, wait for item to be discounted, double dip.

Impulsive people can line ZOS coffers for all I care.

The prices are literally double what you will pay if patient. If you are not, you get stung. End of story.

Arguing for ZOS's profitabilty can be left up to their marketing & strategy teams, which are doing well.

As an example I put my case, I am ESO Plus member and honestly would have no problem in acquiring monthly the 5500 crown pack of the store to purchase different items.

But with the current prices I do not see that it is profitable, I am not attracted by the capacity of purchase that those 5500 crowns offer me in the store, therefore I opt not to buy them and I am left with the 1500 monthly crowns of the membership, with Which maybe after 10 months (almost a year) of accumulating them can buy a house?

Or after 5 months maybe I can buy a motif or a mount?

If I felt that with my crowns I can do more than that I would not hesitate to use those of the membership plus an additional purchase of crowns on a recurring basis and that is the problem.

Not being something attractive, players like in my case do not see incepted to enter the consumption of crowns and that, is lost money for the company.

They could have a player who pays their membership and buy crown packs on a monthly basis with more attractive prices, but since they do not they only get the payment of the membership and I think this example reaches many other players.

Of course this is a personal appreciation, I must understand that if they do not they will have their reasons, but I find it hard to believe that a lower cost of the objects of the store leads them to lose money instead of increasing their profits.

Of course, the only way to know exactly is to have the statistics of such transactions and evaluate their impact before different modifications, the only thing I can say is that it would be great to have a more attractive store that allows the inclusion and participation of a larger Number of players.

Of course as mentioned you can expect to put special offers, but not always these are the desired and not all options to end up in offers or temporary discounts.

Back to the premise? Fun, that each player enjoys to the maximum his time of game.

A more accessible store could become a more active store, greater number of transactions, more revenue and more happy players.

Not everyone follows them on twitter or happens to be playing during one and see it announced in the launcher. Though with the last one they didn't even do that.

For the OP, based on previous years we would expect the next sale at the end of October and another late November / early December.

Everyone has the right to decide if it's worth buying or not. I do respect that.
But here we are not discussing a basic need of mankind. We are discussing vanity.

I mean, it's liek you walk into a Gucci store and when they attend you you complain about the prices.

Or in other words, half the players buying it for 6k is equivalent to all players buying it for half the price (3k). Obviously all players buying it for 3k brings more money than all players buying it for 2k. It brings 150% more money, to be precise.

that reason why i temperarly left Neverwinter's their lockboxes and other items needed for level or refining the upgrades, had turn from role-play online into "Casino Online", but here with ESO, we have choices to pick what we want or skip since it is expensive.
and with EQ2's market format, it was cheaper until no longer as Sony, it become very costly.

i think the problem is with guys in shareholder business wanting more cash from players. it ruin all the MMO since "Micromanagement" introduced, made some online games to early graves.

many cellphones now have "free games" but need to spend to keep on playing if you need to reach several goals. talk about "GREED".

An easy way to solve the issue is to create a "whale tier" for ESO+. Allows people who are willing to pay much more (say, 10x) a month to have access to everything, and prevents price and crown inflation for the base tier and for regular ESO+.

Bankers and Merchant ain't really needed, it's only if you want to spawn them everywhere and want them in your house.
You could also buy a small house next to crafting stations and merchants for 15k gold.

9000 crowns for a sub is pretty fine. In other MMOs you pay and get nothing except access to the game.

Also there is not much worth buying anyway. For me its the banker and merchant, a house and thats it.
Most of the stuff offered is way cheaper ingame for gold. Like crafting stations beeing 3000 crowns or 30k gold ingame. Or motifs, which are sold for few hundred gold costs ~500-1000k crowns.
