    A few essentials i didnt see in here;

Alphagear - like dressing room but has cleaner visuals. More complicated to set up, but allows single-click switch of entire gear and bar set ups.

Wykkyds Framework - i actually dont use most of this addon but this is the only updated one (the single files cause ui errors for me). i have always loved their clean HUD and the big one is their info bar which you can customize to show ping, fps, research reminders for crafting, xp needed for level/cp, bag space, coin, ap, etc etc etc. Nice to have all info you need at first glance. The framework has a couple other addons which are take or leave for me like advanced chat windows and its own version of dressing room.

Joviexs addon transfer - takes your addon settings from any character and transfers to one or all of your other characters so you dont have to spend hours getting your addons formatted every time you start levelling a new character. This addon is useless 99% of the time but that 1% is a HUGE time savings so i always keep this one installed.

Appreciated. That addon transfer thing is the one I've been looking for a long time.
Back from my last hiatus. 2021 a new start.

    - Master Merchant (must have if you want to buy or sell anything)
    - AUI (for a better group window with more information)
    - FTC (for buffs/debuffs and DPS sharing)
    - Combat Metrics (for in depth analysis of fights)
    - Skyshards and Lorebooks (to effectively farm those on twinks)
    - Multicraft (to be able to craft potions while being AFK)
    - Alphagear (to quickly switch between loadouts)
    - pChat (to copy stuff from the chat)
    - raidnotifier (this needs no explanation)
    - Votan's Search Box (otherwise you don't find anything in a 400 slot bank)
    - Inventory Inside (how could I manage 14 characters without that?)
    - Lost Treasure (to effectively find crafting writs)
    - advanced filters (for better inventory navigation)
    - action duration reminder (to track skill uptimes)
    - awesome guildstore (how can you find anything without even a searchbox?)
EU/PC (GER) - Healermain since 2014 - 50305 Achievement Points - Youtube (PvE Healing Guides, Builds & Gameplay)

Personally I use a combo of AUI + Srendarr, and I think it looks pretty decent.

Hey re that black bar at the top of your ui with clock, fps etc. Is that from Srendarr or from AUI?

Can honestly say I have both installed and I have been wondering how you get that bar at the top. Hasn't shown for me.

    @Blanco - that's Wykkyd's toolbar.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".
Greybeards & Gals - Civilised, laid-back, mature gamers. Beards optional. |

    Combat Reticle
I don't see many people using or recommending Combat Reticle (which I'm the author of), but I can't play without it. I always had a hard time seeing the reticle in "messy" combat situations (PvP), so I created this add-on to allow me to make the reticle much more visible over the chaos. It can also highlight various other types of targets when not in combat (enemies, neutrals, containers, etc). It has all kinds of options to set reticle icons, overlays, color, size, rotation, animations, etc. Try it out!

I can never remember when writs and dailies rollover. Is there an addon for that?

    This is horrific.

    To op:
    Skyshards
    Lorebooks
    Lost treasure
    Srendarr

    Optional but helpful to me:
Craft store HotR edition - this has a lot of functionality rolled into one addon. Recipe list, research timer/grid tracker, motifs tracker, multicraft (like set it to craft 999 things and walk away), helps with daily writs, cleaner ui for the crafting tables, so much is in this addon it's like a Swiss Army knife. Edit: the lastest version is called craftstore HotR edition.

I'm not in any major trading guilds and I don't feel strapped for cash, so the guild store addons like Master Merchant, TTC, and AwesomeGuildStore don't apply to my play style.

Also, it's my opinion that Harvest Map is cheating when you download a prepopulated map from someone else thus removing the need to explore and find chests/nodes oneself. Also MIATs may be allowed, but many find its use dishonorable.

Necessary is kind of a biased view, thats up to you.
I absolutely love addons. Currently using the following:

    For awesome UI:
    FTC
    Srendarr
(Both will help you perform dps, keep your dots and buffs/debuffs up)

Other addons for easier ESO life:
    Lazy writ
    Fco item marking
    Advanced filters
    Lorebooks
    Skyshards
    Lost treasure
    Master merchant
    Awesome Guildstore
    Harvest map
    Personal assistant
    Writ worthy
    Raid notifier
    Research assistant
    Potion maker
    Combat metrics

    Probably more I forgot

Is anyone using a good Chat add-on? I find the in-game chat screens fairly rubbish but have never tried an alternative.

None are really essential, in fact I try to use as few as possible. But I find it hard to manage my inventory without Inventory Grid View.
