Any other aussies getting this?
When i first started on EU a year ago my pings were about 220. bad but ok. after every patch this game has gotten progressively worse- performance wise- day after - it typically is terrible . it got so bad i moved to NA and had to refarm all over again- but at least on NA the pings in october last- where at 220 or so again. Now? after each patch its gotten like 50ms worse. this is unplayable. I m gettig pings of 450 to 999 average, and have even gone to the local gaming cafe this morning- where they have top class connections- and even there its not much better- also unplayable at 350 - impossible to do vMA or anything without dying 100 times.
please Zos - look into it- i dont know if this is a termproary situation but long term its still terrible, even when at its best- please improve your servers or get us an oceania/asia server. this is so bad.

I do agree that ping from oceania/asia has gotten worst big time, in the last months.

2 days ago after the patch was good,I had hopes. Yesterday was bad again :(

Mine's been a lot worse than it used to be (Canberra here). The last few weeks in particular I've been seeing the same stuff as you, really high spikes and stuff.

Last time I saw this kind of reply, the next day there was a thread from ZOS saying there was some issues and they were working on.

Many players have complained its gotten worst and this should be addressed, not denied.

It's no you, it's definitely a problem with them.

I am experiencing the same thing and so are most of the Australian/Kiwi people I play with. It started about 3 weeks ago after the maintenance and nothing improved so far. At best, you get +50/60ms and get around 280ms but for most people, it is much worse. Last week, I haven't been under 330ms even once with 999+ spikes. I didn't get even a 1ms latency difference in other games I play like WoW, Dota, etc...

XB1 connecting to NA Server (from QLD)...
It's been hit and miss the last few weeks. Rubber-banding and lag-spikes.
To the point where at times I am dc'd and reason is "u have no valid internet connection".
Funny... cuz i'm still in party chat talking to ppl.
It's definitely a problem at their end.

And ppl that post non-constructive comments "should" be ignored.

    Thank you mate,
I feel like a whinger- and maybe I am- but the only way to get a problem fixed is to draw attention to it. and if that other person is getting pings of 280? well that might be okay- but let me tell you - it used to be better- 220 or so- but even that - is tough for an end game player to contribute to end game content.

i know us oceania and asia players are in the minority- my hope is at least someone there looks at this - its frankly amaterish.

I'm also in Canberra (on NBN, FTTP), and my latency has consistently been the same: 220-240ms to PC/NA.

    Edited to clarify platform/server.

Melbourne and 350 latency is normal but 999+ is totally standard as well and something that I expect any time I try to do anything. I haven't even attempted anything harder than normal mode dungeons for the last week.

Three weeks now and we still haven't heard anything from ZOS.

im vpn'ing from australia to canada and running the game over that and usually sub 400ms. so australia ->canada->US and still not having the issues you are having. and still faster.

Im not suggesting you are not having an issue, but i happen to know a lot about how internet works and are suggesting its maybe something related to your isp since others in australia are having a far better experience than you. there are multiple links going out of australia to various places. Maybe your ISP doesnt buy enough bandwidth or their route is not optimal.

Note i said maybe its your ISP. but so far you've done little but totally deny its even a possibility. maybe you could post some information such as traceroutes, pings etc and we can get to the bottom of it. That information will also help ZOS determine if its their end, your end, somewhere in between.

Wow, Canberra here too .. never knew there was more than a couple of us.

The ping shown in the UI and add-ons hasn't gotten much worse for me, but I've noticed a lot of obvious latency that doesn't get reflected in the ping counter.

Still sitting at about 300ms according to the meters pretty much all the time .... but other players teleporting all over the place tells me something is wrong.

When I had that issue, it turned out to be the fault of an ASUS-supplied network software that came with my motherboard. I uninstalled the program, and the issues went away.

I had this too recently. Ping looks good but the actual performance is very bad and obviously not reflected by the displayed ping value

    Canberra again.

My experience is 12-18fps with 450 average latency. The situation was far worse a month ago.
Agreeing with the view that things, in general have got worse since the update, but I was holding back.

The time-warp thing has stopped though.

280 Latency is exactly what we are referring to. I started this game and have ALWAYS had 200 - 220 latency until the Midyear mayhem event. Now I am lucky to see 285 as a standard and usually 300+ in Cyro at every moment of day.

I work for the largest TCI body in Australia and we have not changed anything regarding P2P routing / offshore or server disperse. The latency change has only occurred in this game. I have not seen any other latency changes in any other NA west or mid location server I join. Only in Zenimax Online Studios.

When I tried to get a Canadian and Australian friend to play ESO with me, we checked which server would have the best ping for us. It turns out NA and EU are the same for all of us. Low ping for the Canadian and me (at that time average of 120) for the Australian 400ms minimum.
