Tank's shild nerf

sooo...after this patch I just realised, my shild value is now 1990 , down from 3200....As I read the patch note the bonus for the shild is flat 1500 armour and not 75% from the shild armour.if i take 1500 from 1990, i will leave with 490 armour....GOOODDD ! 490 armour for a tank ? even the belt has 1200 or my feet...myyy gooddd...ZOSS...what logic is this? my belt protects me better than my SHILD ? REEAAALYYYYYYYYYY ????????

So you are saying they should take away from belt boots and gloves and add back the residual to your shield so it makes sense?

can you make it % based on your total Resistance...with this1500 flat number is useless...I know for other chars is good...but as a tank..plssss !!!

The 1500 resistance from the CP passive is NOT applied onto your shield but directly to your TOTAL resistance values. This change was a buff for every type of shield except Nirnhoned.

It's irrelevant what armor value the belt has. What is relevant is how much added resistance we reduced to the shield before vs how much added resistance we receive now. The difference seems fairly small making the idea of changing it yet again not very important.

Honestly, that particular passive was giving way too much stat relative to what the other passives can give. Not to mention it was buffing something that definitely needs re-balancing. S&B has been over-performing all the other means of mitigation by a huge margin for a long time. Surely that can be warranted considering the context of holding a bleepin piece of metal/ wood in front of your attacker to a certain extent but there is definitely some re-balancing that should be considered and this was a good change.

@Inig0 you make no sense. Of course one hand and shield should overperform in terms for tanking, it's literally the most suitable weapon for it. What do you want to >block< incoming attacks with? A restoration staff that's thinner than my average sized rod? No I know, tanks should wear dual wield on both bars!!!!

I never mention other weapon types need to mitigate damage but other forms of mitigation. Like dodge or shields which have been tuned more and more to the level they should be (not that they are where they should be to be balanced but theyre getting there.) Whereas s&b really hasnt the whole stam regen "fix" didnt do much at all.
