??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
That is the opposite of how things are...
2h in PvE is thoroughly inferior to dual wield 90% of the time (which sucks).

Not thoroughly if a few k behind in dps.
Its good enough for 99% of pve, capable of doing most vet trials as well.

I used to have a 2 handed dps until I got to 50 and tried to do vet dungeons.
Then I realized how bad 2handed dps was. I was the reason groups failed not being able to do enough AoE.
Then I switched to dual wield and it is unbelievable how much my dps improved. The double set bonus with two weapons alone is a huge boost. I will never go back to 2handed. Its like intentionally gimping yourself.

Its like 2k more dps end game.
You got to 50, lost a lot of stats due to battle leveling and your dps dropped a lot.
You then switched gear and increased your gear level and got better stats and dealt more dmg.
Most of your aoe comes from caltraps and endless hail on a stam dps, steel tornado is nice but it's really not needed.

ummm no.
I built a CP160 set for my 2 handed dps.
Tried it out but It was crappy and I held groups back.
then switched to dual wield and saw a huge improvement.
It had nothing to do with my 2handed having old gear. I am comparing level 50 CP 160 results for both.

Pretty sure alcast tried this out and has a vid somewhere.
Anyway maybe it was your rotation

I can see that being possible for single target dps.
But what about AOE?
All 2handed has is a cone. not one single AoE.
In some dungeons lack of AoE will lead to failure.

Reverse Slice deals AoE damage, and with the passive in 2h I believe heavy attacks also deal AoE damage.
A cone attack (cleave) is AoE, the area is the cone in front of you.
True, but there should also be another dps, so unless he/she is only dealing single target damage, your group AoE between hail, caltrops, cleave, reverse slice, and heavy splash damage and then whatever he/she is doing for AoE should be totally reasonable.

Well you added skills that are not 2handed, so your basically admitting that 2 handed by itself is not sufficient for AoE, you need hail and caltrops as well. Using Heavy attacks for AOE is also not very efficient with the long cast time.
